Self-Flagellation allows one more extra curse on you, not an extra curse on monsters. It wouldn't allow you to replace Doedre's.

And would you suggest playing elementalist or berserker in HC?

Scorching Ray applies a huge debuff while DPSing, and you cast icestorm a shit-ton faster. I messed with it for a few levels, and didn't feel like one or the other was inherently superior, they are just 2 different playstyles IMO.

Cast while channeling hast a CD. So it applies max 3 times per second.
While spell echo, increases the cast speed by alot, but reduces the damage.

So generally said bigger hits with scorching ray more mobility and more hits with spell echo?

Still dunno if levelling as witch or as marauder is better.

SR-CwC is a good upgrade for the classes that don't get a lot of casting speed (Berserker gets none whatsoever). But Inquisitor and Elementalist's cast time is already pretty good, so I don't know yet if it's a good idea to use CwC here other than during leveling.

One of the replaced gems is Spell Echo which is actually a LESS multiplier, and you replace it with CwC which is a MORE multiplier, so the DPS gain/loss is up to replacing a good gem such as CD with SR. SR itself does some damage (about 31k DPS on my Berserker) but that's a small bonus compared to the main Icestorm DPS. -24% resistance debuff and the difference in casting speed - that's what you really get for losing a DPS gem. I've yet to do the math for Elementalist and Inquisitor. It may or may not be worth it for ELE, and I doubt that it's a good idea for INQ.

Another advantage of SR-CwC is that it costs almost no mana (18! lol). Eliminating the mana issues during leveling is very nice. And you can pre-stack 14 Icestorms on a triggered boss (hi Izaro! bye Izaro!)

Elementalist of course! Berserker has zero elemental defenses and takes 10% increased damage from all sources. That would be pushing your luck in HC.

Leveling with any class is about the same. Probably the easiest with Scion because she gets more jewel sockets and Int to trivialize the storyline content. But it's easy enough with any class, especially now with SR-CwC.

run dried like for an hour or two, do the chaos recipe, that should provide enough currency to fix your issue.

Anybody saw the Polymath card (giving the Astramentis) ? Almost 83 now, got nice gear apart from amulet and int belt. Hope the price will lower soon, didnt have any nice drops this league YET :)
