2.4 and the CoC nerf - what to expect ?

CoC, chaos conversion and trap damage needs adjustment. No need in ranking them, as they are all in need of nerfs - if this is to be a challenging game in the future.

I like how you think you're part of the elite club thinking the games not challenging anymore

CoC Nerf: adjust the gem's mana multiplier, add a cooldown to the procs.

Then proceed to nerf the "conversion to chaos dmg" ( without leaving any OP legacy items behind) and we're good.

I like how it's impossible for some people to have a discussion without "LOLOLOL" and sarcastic remarks. It makes a forum pretty much like a kinder garden.

I'm not part of any "elite club", but have tried both CoC, heavy chaos damage builds and trap builds. One-shoting some of the "hardest" bosses in the game is in my eyes stupid. What's the point in hard content, if you can easily trivialize it?

Builds which do better than my own must be nerfed. Players who have more currency than me must be banned since they're obvious RMTs.

Right?

With this mentality, he's certainly part of an elite club... but the question is elite 'what' :)

Who the fuck said this? Why even participate in a debate, if all you do is making up comments, to be able to answer what suits you?

A brief check of my post history revealed I mistook you for a guy with a similarly consonant-rich nickname with whom I had a brief argument in another thread.

Sincere apologies, editing out the comment.
You have to be realistic about these things.

There's a big gap between two camps of people - the first, who say "This is unfair GGG - please nerf!" and the second, who say "This is unhealthy for the game, and GGG will probably nerf it."

I've never actually seen anyone say the former, despite the claims of the strawman builders, and the latter camp is just speaking from experience and a deep understanding of the underlying principles of rpg design and general game balance.

With that said, I agree that anyone who is playing chaos conversion or w.e ez cheezy build while simultaneously complaining about the ease of the game is some combination of uncreative and undisciplined.

I have a big problem with players who complain that the game is not challenging anymore. Interestingly enough those are usually also the ones who can't come with their own ideas and only play and experience the game through the mainstream op meta build of the moment that they just copy past.

There are always ways to make something more challenging.
