I played many different classes already in HC:

Witch, Marauder, Templar and Ranger.

They are all good and you will get enough life with all of them.
Apart from that as aimlessgun already hinted: There are many non-marauders in the top positions of the ladder. Why if they are so useless?



U play many characters, are any of them 80+? non-marauders in the top position because it is still possible to survive with other characters duh its pure grinding wait till PVP is hot and let marauders leap and point blank you to death. with a full tank armor and hp and dispell frozen/chill flasks with incredible armor rating and damage + high HP.

we're talking about stats maximization here, nothing is more worth than starting as a marauder. you can also get a total of 30-45% of elemental resist to all as marauder did i mention that? and with regen 3-10% he wont die at all llol?


Please dont tell me about /top 10 in softcore, it means nothin

You can cap resists entirely from gear without ANY resist passives. And it's not even that hard. With good gear those passives are wasted.

Marauders have a much harder time taking advantage of crit/critdmg, which is the most powerful way to increase your DPS in the game. Maras will NEVER do top tier DPS because of this, and though that likely doesn't matter in HC you're insane if you think that doesn't matter in default or PvP.

my point is marauder starts at the most flexible and best position why cant anyone see this. he can be whatever he wants. and he starts off with the most important nodes which is HP. elemental bow marauder owns elemental ranger bow any time purely because the shock nodes(static blow) are at TOP LEFT.( chance to shock etc)

Change the title and rephrase your original post so it can be taken seriously. It seems like you might have a point, but there are better ways to make it heard.

For one, the game doesn't suck.
Your argument could be applied to a Templar that travel down as well.

The fact is that top ladder char are not all marauder shows that late game is not only about tank and hp, but all so about clear speed. You have to balance your dps and survivability, otherwise you'd fall behind in the ladder.
