Speed Running Labyrinth for Helm Enchants Feels Pointless
I'm all for convenience, but this idea is just dumb as shit...
Also give me every quest reward points because i see no point doing them /s Ascendency points and Quest Points are given as a REWARD, for YOU ACCOMPLISHING SOMETHING... Effort = Reward. God i don't understand this new generation, wants everything for free payed up front... IGN: PojzonAbyss

The main problem I see with enchants is that the enchants can't be too easy to find given how strong they are right now. Depending on your build some of them are outright ridiculously good. If you could get that too easily, that wouldn't be any good for the game.
On the other hand it's no fun to run hundreds of labs without getting what you want either. Pretty hard to find a balance here. |

If you are using a generic helm as you are OP with rats nest you would most definite be better off going to market as people just enchant once and sell those.
But I agree needs to be more deterministic. If lab was higher level like map levels i could stand it. but now you get no exp all for 1 in a million shot (im exaggerating but still) not worth it. I go to lab to ascend, enchant once, and I'm done with it. I like how in D3 they offer you like 6 choices when you enchant. That would be good.. like 6 out of what 300 possible? No to gifty. ^That would be a good solution imho - giving you for example 3 choices plus the possibility of keeping whatever enchant you might have on the item. Right now it's a lottery with a really small chance of success.
My experience: I had to buy another 2 Alpha's Howls because I'm looking for TS enchant and I got these instead that I want to keep ( and actually I'm using the AA)... Thankfully it's a rather cheap unique, if it was a rare or an expensive one I'd have to settle for the non-optimal-but-somewhat-useful enchant "Metas rotate all the time, eventually the developers will buff melee" PoE 2013-2018 Last edited by Wazz72#5866 on Mar 30, 2016, 8:49:53 AM

A lot of great and reasonable ideas in this thread. Shame GGG didnt think of any of them. Lab is soooooo boring.
I especially like seeing a few choices for enchants after completion. Also choice between overwriting current enchant or preserving the existing enchant. ProbablyGettingNerfed - L100 Occultist

" For me, personally, it starts a long way till 100 which I will never accomplish for sure, but I like to have goal, it keeps me playing. If I just level till 90 in 2-3 days and start another, whats the point in it? I'm not that kind of person. That's why I have only couple chars, but I enjoy them, sorry if our tastes are different but I'm sure its ok to have different approach. I did remax 20q gems but I don't like to play a lottery with corrupting. Also I don't like to level stupid empower just to corrupt, fail and sell for some scrap. I don't think carrying something in your inventory secondary weapon slot just for sake of leveling adds something exciting. Also difference between 91 and 92 is miserable, but between 91 and 100 is tremendous. P.S. My suggestion. Make enchants tradeable like orbs or whatever. People who enjoy lab will gain profit from selling rare enchants and people who don't will buy them. Everyone happy. There are quite a few helms where a lot of enchants are valuable.. such as alpha's howl, devoto's devotion, nice rares, etc.
I think the better strategy is to just do the lab until you get a valuable enchantment, sell the helm on poe.trade, then go from there. There's no reason to keep rolling over enchantments that are valuable to other people. |

" in power terms there is deminishing difference. gl there. why do you need 100? what goal it has? when playing hc leveling a family of specialized toons is only way. mf toon, atziri toon, party 13+ meta runner. No rest for the wicked

" Because its top level, reason to play, something that you want to accomplish, something you will remember, something that is not for everyone. Hope now its much clearer. And it is a CHAR not a fucking toon. Bullshit makes the flowers grow

" Yeah.. I can't quit this game without getting a char to level 100. Some people say "What's the point" but I feel like getting 100 IS the point. Sure, we can generate shitloads of wealth that we don't need, but then do what with it? I think putting that wealth into rolling nice high tier maps constantly is what the end-game was meant to be. But in reality, everyone can set their own goals. There is no specific end-game, it's just what players chose to do. |
