" Daggers have between 6.5 and 7.2% crit chance base, while rapiers have only 5%. All other crit chance modifiers use this number as a multiplier. Crit chance and crit multiplier can be found in very similar amounts on the skill tree and on support gems. High critical damage is reliant on both. 35% crit damage is rather small in comparison to 80% global crit chance available on daggers. With the addition of Melee Splash we will essentially be able to turn Dual Strike or Frenzy into an AoE skill, but until then Cleave it is. And you just can't get very high crit chance with Swords. " Thanks for pointing that out. I had planned on making my ranger to be a dual strike multi striker. But now I will have to compare the damage of dual strike splash with cleave. I don't have any good daggers, but wanted to be flexible to use any weapon. Kind of curious how long it will take for multi strike to be affordable. |
