Twin Terrors:DW/Evasion (ele and phys versions). solo run complete. Detailed guide! 10.2 updates

Hi again, I was wondering what your thoughts were for cyclone in this build. Just from reading the forums, I personally dont like it(my noob opinion). I see that people write in the feedback forum that its good on DW dualists. And I think I saw your post that you didnt have a problem with it so what do you think about it on this build?

Imho Cyclone is not really made for dual wield imho. 1h+shield is more suited for it . All in all though I hear people are dissapointed with cyclone (devmoon, kripp). To me it didnt look quite bad -played a bit with low level cyclone. It can apply blind very fast and with 1h+shield build you can be much tankier than DW.

Thanks for keeping this build updated! After reading lots of Duelist build threads, this is the one I picked. I just got a friend to start playing PoE, and he chose Duelist, so I pointed him to this build :) I'll just use my 1H+shield lightning Templar when we group.

This is semi similar to my ranger physical dual wield build although at lvl 56 I haven't invested into any crit nodes.

However I am at a crossroads here. I have visted duelist area and shadow area and picked up the key pieces at each. and all teh hp nodes along the way.

I am really torn what to do next. I don't feel the need to invest in crit nodes although it is extremely tempting, as my original build was crit based but I slowly drifted away from it.

I had then planned on being an acrobatics build. but at this point I have 31% block 50% evasion, and maybe 10% physical damage reduction, and just under 2k hp. I am curious why you chose not to take acrobatics, since you have nothing but evasion gear, what is your reasoning behind this? This is my main question. I ask because next I was thinking I would just take more hp nodes. that cluster of 5 in between shadow and ranger near acrobatics, or take acrobatics. I also was planning to pick up more block nodes, and you can see where I have pathed to have more access to those block nodes later on when I had free points.

So far my character has been doing great. I'm in the process of changing out some of my dual leech uniques for more hp items and resist items. Been running purity and grace, but adding hatred to this, and likely running cleave and DS on blood magic gems. And add more aurs as I can, even debating running some flat ones on hp, or contemplating including haste aura although I don't think it will be worth it.

I haven't gotten any feedback from anyone on this build, and could really use some help if you get a minute.

current build, have a couple points saved

later game goal possibly, at least one of the variations

edit: I better add, from looking at things, since I don't have 2k hp yet I should take the 5 cluster, that would put me over 200% hp increase.

Also I can run ds on mana with some leech, but cleave is a bit too expensive to keep up with the mana leech rate, hence my reasoning by using better gear and going with blood magic for each. I've loved blind on DS, works on bosses pretty well.

I havent logged in for a while and abandoned leveling this build (mostly because of maps drops BS)

Also the frustration with 5l BS - I never ever got 5l on my chest with over 500 fusings. And overall farm/trade to win BS to get any upgrades

In any case here is how this build currently looks like - i completely ditched evasion as its garbage ( I have 20k armor with discipline ). And frenzy charges with blood rage are more pain in the ass than actual benefit

All in all its a melee build. and melee is garbage - I have leveled several ranged builds (EK/FP) and they are much less gear dependent while being more powerful at same time

It really is better than evasion. As bad as armor is it is much better than EV. The point in acrobatics/phase acro are pure waste.

with your tree you should have decent HP if you get all gear + HP. my hp is right no 4300 - though it is very low if compared to HC builds, but decent enough that if you have endurance charges up and granite flask that you can survive even 73 map kohl

I have 6% mana leech from gear (ammy, ring, gloves) and its enough. I do have one hybrid flask and it helps on half regen maps. I really do not reccommend BM gem or Blood magic at all with this build .Its just doesnt have large enough HP pool and cant sacrifice % auras (hatred/discipline/purity) . Large benefits of going physical is actually ability to use leech from gear effectively ( i would argue it is way worse than blood magic based builds but such is balance in this game)

here is how I would run your build: 270% HP and better sword damage nodes. Twin terrors node is very important for DW crit build since it is main way you do damage and its best node for crit you can pick

That looks pretty solid. And I should be able to form right into that, with only using one regret to remove a node kind of by iron reflexes. I guess I will pick up IR when the time comes, but so far I don't need it in merciless, but I do have a 2k evasion chest piece, and gear is looking decent.

This is where I ended up last night.

Up to 2400 hp but no hp on jewelry or boots, have new boots for lvl 62. Cleave is just over 2600 dps with blood magic gem, melee physical, and faster attacks. I run three auras right now, purity grace and hatred. I have determination leveling so I can use it if I switch to IR. If I wanted to run based on mana I would have to go back to my 4% mana leech, but that gear was awful, not to mention I couldn't run all those auras on mana, grace would have to go on blood magic. Which if I run determination grace will end up on blood magic anyways. I had thought about stacking more hp and running wrath and anger on blood magic too, but I doubt I can get enough hp for that.

Really though the character seems quite powerful, tanked fidelitas without even breaking a sweat, or using any endurance charges. Merveil same thing. I'm sure Vaal will be a different story, since I won't mitigate jack there, 77% lightning resist should help, but otherwise will be dodging rocks, and dodging his big smash, so will need a bit of luck too. Whirling blades is great for avoiding attacks. I have just enough mana to cast it a few times, and enough regen I could cast it again soon after.
This build seems a bit confused. Twin Terrors is an extremely efficient passive for crit chance, but swords have gimped crit chance. Using a dagger gives much better return for this crit chance. Unfortunately daggers can't be used with Cleave which is the only worthwhile DW skill in the game.

So in reality the way the game was made gimps the concept of DW + crit.
