When will Labyrinth be nerfed for non-elite players to get Ascendancy classes?
" This is the problem for me. Should be totally viable make the lab at the level of the map(normal is 33), you need level 40~45 to make it if your build is not super good again him. Me and my friend couldn't do at level 60+ in the cruel because he 1 shot us in the last stage. We basically will get like 65+ and 'zerg' him with NUMBERS. |

I returned to check on new expansion without much info on what to expect. I quickly watched few videos on Ascendancy challenges, Labyrinth and the challenge league.
I cruised through normal as usual all the way to Piety kill in Act3 where I decided to finalize the challenges and visit the Labyrinth. It took me 3 tries, both deaths due to traps, however, I would probably fail final boss battle anyway since I did not do first two stages right. I decided it is time to level up a bit more and get better gear after 2nd death. I cleared Act 4, laughed at Malachai and returned back to labyrinth. Final attempt went smooth, 2 initial stages were done correctly-by accident-and I took great care to avoid death to traps in last area before final boss. The final fight was chaotic but manageable due to me being lvl43. However, full clear took good one hour--ignored any non-essential side areas too. My observation/feedback: 1. Normal Labyrinth is too long and too hard for first difficulty. Rogue-like dungeons are good addition but they should be shorter or be a bit more lenient with "one and done" rule. 2. Ascendancy challenges should be marked on map (U), in a same way as way-points are marked there. 3. Izaro's fight and its different phases should be explained by a text within the game. There should be some hints as to what you should do overcome him. All in all, Ascendancy challenges and Labyrinth were nice addition to the game. They introduced completely new mechanics to the game. I enjoyed rogue-like feel to Labyrinth as well. I feel that small adjustment to difficulty, especially on normal, is due to keep this new addition enjoyable. |

The labyrinth is quite fine, the reward system for helmets could use a bit of refinement.

No nerf required. If it is too tough, then over level the zone like other people have said continue to act 4 and come back. Also for the OP you will need more health to survive the fight, not much life on your gear. You are not forced to do normal lab at lvl 33...

" I'm sorry, but as an intelligent person, saying that you have to overlevel it in order to have a chance is not "how it should be", its an indication that is is way too difficult. Why are people so accepting of a poor design/mistake? Don't you think its reasonable to say "If you have to dramatically over level it to have a chance, then it needs to be adjusted downward" ? |

I was just giving you a suggestion to help you out maybe :) I am just saying if you are having trouble come back later :) It's meant to be a challenge and I am happy to have a new one, cant wait to try lab on merc! Personally, I completed it at level 37 (started at 35 and got 2 levels while completing the labyrinth) -- that's quite reasonable, but I expect everyone's experience to be different (and that's ok). Think of it this way -- if you find the content too hard "at level", then GGG has given you a backup option which is: come back when you're a higher level. That's a nice compromise don't you think? If you are intent at completing it at level 33-35, then you must *plan* for it. My first attempt ended horribly for my poorly constructed hybrid totem scion. I didn't even try to salvage that character. Instead I started from scratch the next day with a new character and leveled to 33 with the Labyrinth in mind. Since I had tasted failure, I knew what to expect. I went for a Phase Acrobatics build with full evasion. I also picked skills that would do damage while I ran around like a chicken (because that's how "elite" I am). My second attempt (first attempt on my new character) was a success and felt very satisfying. EDIT Here are my build details for the successful run starting at lvl 35.
