I'm still not sure why people don't see Wisdom Scrolls as a replacement for gold. It's the most basic currency in the game and you can up-trade it at the vendors for the other orbs. The only real difference I see is that you don't typically have millions of wisdom scrolls and they aren't called 'gold'.

Just give the people their gold.
As much as I like the current currency system, I'd trade it any day for gold just to shut these guys up. Boring old gold in exchange for a nice clean forum and in game chat. My sanity is much more important. |
