just add gold and be done

what PoE suffers as for now with the first iteration of trading system is lack of basic lowest universal currency. dont get me wrong - gold ? - it doesnt have to be gold.

they can be even scrolls of wisdom/ portal scrolls - but the problem in here is that in shop 1 wisdom scroll = 3 portal scrolls and 1 portal scroll = 3 wisdom. Make them equal or go one way. That could be good start. Then rethink all recipes, make each currency item value in scrolls then add items to that system.
But personally scrolls arent the best basic currency - its basically the same as having gold ...
i got my beta key from Icoblablubb - vielen danke !!!

the first (and only?) 6 linked blue sox on magic armor in beta :P

There is way to make a good solid no gold system, PoE is far from it.

You're able to know this... how? I love all the doom and gloomers on these boards who can predict the future state of the game based off of the first iteration of a system.

Still, I guess it's better to read these "give PoE gold" threads then it was reading the "classes have no identity" posts.

Luckily, according to the latest poll, around 75% of testers enjoy the system or are okay with it. This is an extremely good result for the first iteration of a complex system. Eventually, spammers, trolls and haters will have to deal with it or just leave.
Disregard witches, aquire currency.
Luckily, according to numbers of threads with complaintans and negative feedback the pool is bullshit.
Thesystem GGG proppose simply DONT FIT HnS GAME. Its really not so hard to understand. Its tedious, boring and overcomplicated. And in most cases punishes players for picking drops instead rewarding them.

Only because a handful of people cries loudest that does not mean they are in the majority. The only data with statistical evidence on how the system is perceived is said poll. You just dont like the result.

The pool is way more representative of what people think than the number of whining thread. The reason is simple, people make threads when they are not pleased. When everything is ok, everything is ok...
Basically, the number of whining threads represents the number of players who definitely want gold in the game. So even ten threads isn't that many. The game will do fine without you guys...

One thread with arguments and extensive testing with examples >>> 50 votes in anonymous pool. End of story.

I myself vote in this pool "its perfect give me more recipes" (i have FIRTS answer there as you can see) BUT even then i saw obvious flaws in the system (very low effort/reward ratio for example).
After some days of extensive playtesting i change my mind - system is very, very bad. Another end of story.
Game with that boring, tediuos and "mathy" selling system is not HnS anymore - its simple.

So.. enjoy yor math and statistics i would rather haves ome monster killing not counting up item quality to 40% or stacking worthless shards to identify things (this is biggest lol af all). Dnt mention new vendor prices - its reallt great that if i want buy a amulet i must sell before 345 rares to vendors.

I also stated that BrotherLaz, creator of the best Diablo 2 MOD (Median XL) gives negative feedback to this system.
I dont want to be rude but his feedback > my feedback/your feedback > 99% votes in this funny pools.

Well that depends how you interpret the answers. I would view "it serves its purpose" as indifferent and not "okay" with the system. A number of people in that thread state they voted yes to liking the system but still had big concerns or desires for improvement. More accurately: 47% of people find the system a positive, 28% are indifferent, 25% find it a negative. Besides it's only 120 votes and whilst I don't know the current number of testers I'm sure it's probably an order of magnitude more than that at least.

At the very least it seems the majority of posters in that thread agree that the system needs refinements and improvements, if only to counter the slowdown and thought process the new currency introduced.

(Note: I'm not arguing for a return to a gold system.)
It's sad so many people don't seem to understand what's the purpose of this system and how it's meant to be used.

There's no gold and people want the system to work as if there were gold.

It's pointless to try to determine a fixed relative value between items and currency because there isn't any.
It's pointless to look for a way to trade profitably with vendors because it's impossible, vendors are and will always be the winner in almost all trades, and it's intended.
It's pointless to put so much thought in this system, involving maths and such, you're wasting your time.

The vendors are meant to be used in particular situations depending on what you need at some point. Vendors aren't necessary in your gaming experience, it's here to help you only if you want. And it does his jobs.

Then let's replace the vendors with drill sergeants and make it so when you want to buy an item, you first have to run 3 times to the end of the twilight strand and back. Vendors are optional anyway, right?

Your argument boils down to 'it doesn't matter it is annoying, it is also useless' which is silly.
