Hi, thank you for taking the time writing this guide. I am having a lot of fun playing it! I am a beginner, and just read someone in the thread saying max level of Blade Vortex can only be at level 8 due to CwDT set at level 1.

I am wondering, are there any other gems I should not level up? How do I know when to level gems or not? Thanks for your time!

CWDT is the only thing where leveling up will do something bad because yea.. if the Gems are to high it stops working at all.

There are other Gems where you dont need to level them but it does not hurt to level them.

LifeLeech for example. As we have Vaal Pact on the Tree a lvl 1 Qualtiy 1 LifeLeech works exactly like a lvl20 Q20.

Then there is Fortify. The Level does nothing, just Melee Damage and we don´t care about that. The Quality gives Fortify Duration which is pretty nice.

I mention these Gems because they are all red. And red gems need Strength to level up, which this build does not get normaly.

And thats ok because as i said, these gems don´t give us any benefit from leveling so we don´t need to try and get Str to level them.

Sweet im hoping blade flurry does work with CoC. Will want to use for new league. Although what ive seen it seems blade flurry is not a spell.. but idk ...

Bladflurry is a attack, we could maybe use it in place of Cyclone to trigger.

I´ll test that as soon as the Skill comes out.

Are the daggers mentioned in OP still the best? I'm confused because it looks like there are daggers with better attack speed and higher crit chance than the ones mentioned. For example ambusher has 1.50 aps and 40% crit. Or am I missing something?

Enjoying the build so far though it's early days as I'm only level 35. I have a couple of questions if I may:

What are some good levelling uniques for the build?

What Crit Chance % would you suggest as a minimum before considering a switch to CoC?

Good leveling Stuff:

Maligaro's Virtuosity
Ungil's Harmony
and
a low level Vagan Dagger with Crafted Crit Chance.
Volls Protector can also be of use for better PC Generation when the Mobs don´t deal enough damage for the CwdT.

For Mana + Life Leech use Warlords Mark. For leveling a Poachers Mark can also be good.

Switch to Hybrid when you start feeling like your life is to low, mostly 2nd half Cruel. (aka wear some ES Gear and spec into GhostReaver)

You can switch to CoC at around 40-50. Use a Diamond Flask to get your Crit Chance up until you feel like you don´t need it anymore. Usa a Dagger with Vagan Mod. It helps alot.

If you get around 45% Crit you can try to switch(with Diamond Flask). If it does not feel good for you go back to BV leveling.

If you feel that CoC is good enough for the trash clear but bosses get you in trouble try using a selfcast Bladefall in Wyrmsign for a good singletarget pseudo 5link.

You want a Vagan dagger "Hit's can't be evaded" .. So you never miss .
