[FIXED] Headhunter no longer gives the player buffs when SRS kill enemies
" If it was a bug, then GGG must've been aware of it for very long, because the Nemesis league wasn't exactly yesterday. In addition, the Headhunter + Summoner/SRS combo has never, ever been abused to achieve rank 1 in the temporary hardcore league, and to the extent of what I can remember, neither has it affected the temporary softcore leagues either. Therefore, it has had a minimal impact on the temporary leagues, which GGG prides itself on balancing around. It is a bug with extremely low impact on the core of the game, which GGG themselves have many times said is the temporary leagues. Yet, you say the small minority posting about it (which I assume are like myself and primarily play on the permanent softcore league with a modicum of amassed wealth), are abusing a "bug" which was never outright stated as a bug by any GGG payroll member. Why exactly then (and this is a hypothetical question) would GGG go and nerf it, and then refuse to publicly announce it? Did they really assume that the people who used Headhunter would not notice this change? If it was a bug that has been readily available to be "abused" for quite some time, why would they have not already changed it? It's only of major impact on the permanent softcore leagues (which GGG has implied they do not care about), where the economy is long gone, and where the only purpose of playing on that league is for pleasure. At this point, all I really want is to GGG to confess that they DID actively change an incredible unique without informing their very own playerbase. Chris HAS stated (on reddit of course) that sometimes devs will change things in patches that he may now be aware of, so it would be of little surprise to me that it was one of the devs with Qarl's mindset who went forth with this change. But it is too much to ask for them to actually say that they changed it? GGG, despite being a small indie company, sometimes has trouble swallowing it's own pride, and this is understandable. A game like PoE, which has generated impressive revenue in it's many ways, tends to inflate ones ego. I haven't touched Path of Exile since they changed Headhunter. Call my reaction infantile or frustrated, but I only play Path of Exile for enjoyment, and my SRS build, which I fine-tuned to the extreme to suit my own tastes, lost much of the fun it procured when the Headhunter changes arrived unannounced. On another note, I do appreciate you having taken notice of my thread, and having posted in it several times. |

I own Headhunter because it was BiS for summoners.
If the change to make it not work with minions was intended, I'd just like them to at least make a new unique for summoners. I really want some disclosure on this too, thanks for keeping the issue alive. |
