" Admit it, you aren't "tired" of fishing, you simply haven't taken the appropriate steps to obtain a SotS, or you have but haven't spent the months upon months of tinkering required to work out how to use it properly. That isn't a design flaw or a problem with GGG, it's a problem with you, and there's only one way to rectify it. |

Keeping to the flavor the original poster. How come flasks gained popularity before they announced the legacy by a few days? Are "favored" people privy to info the rest of us are not? That seems distastefull.

The funny part about this post isn't that the guy is crazy, the funny part is that there are enough brainwashed ignorant sheeple to think some of what he's saying isn't true.
We've had this discussion before...you can look back and find it on one of the old threads. You use the same logic every other investigator would use, and in this case it's not even feasible to think otherwise because of how obvious it is. You follow the money. In this case, exalts are the money. Three days into a new HC league (either nemesis or invasion iirc) one of the players had purchased a shavs for 40ex. It simply is not mathematically reasonable for anyone to have 40ex farmed within 3 days of a major league rotation. Several reasons for this: 1. At the time, the most efficient farming paths were running at about 1.6ex an hour in a standard/non-HC league (read: faster than most HC players farm). Source:

2. A (human) player cannot play POE for 60 hours straight. 3. At the start of a new league, the first day of playing if not first two days for most (human) players is going to be leveling, and gearing up their character. Not farming. Maybe even the first three days or longer, even for a l33t streamer. 4. Assuming you did farm 40ex 60 hours into a new league (which you didn't) most of that would be in item drops, not in actual EX drops. You would have to actually SELL all that inventory by the given time limit to reach 40 ex in 3 days, which would take more time off your farming clock and in all cases you would not be able to actually clear your entire inventory to convert it into ex. 5. The economy is not established enough to support sales at these volumes that early into the league. 6. Even if you did get enough items, and there was enough trading, and you did play for 60 hours, a new league after 3 days will be hard pressed to produce enough ACTUAL exalts to support this kind of trading. Sure, there may be tons of exalts in VALUE sitting in stashes, but physical exalts sitting in people's stash will be much less common at those stages. Why? Not enough physical currency has dropped yet. (In actual fact there are many more physical exalts sitting in the average player's stash than he/she has actually dropped. However, this supports the OP - not discredits him. Think about the source) 7. Farming and leveling in HC league will be slower for obvious reasons. 8. There would have to be enough shavs drops for someone to actually sell it for 40ex after 3 days (again unlikely). 9. Watch any streamer play POE (watch the BEST OF THE BEST streamers, for quality) and see how many exalts they have dropped on your third day of viewing. 10. This farming was done with IIQ on gear, which unless something changed in the last 3-5 months does not exist today. You can get IIR still but IIQ is only available from highly specific sources now, and on the map modifierss themselves. ...etc, the list does go on for quite a while, if you think about it yourselves you will find many more reasons why this isn't happening. The bottom line here is that people do not farm 40ex three days into a new league. You follow the money and the source will turn up, but it's not from actual players playing the game. It's actually not even remotely close to happening when you consider (seriously, take a second and think about it) all the things that slow the progression down in the first 3 days of a new league, especially in HC leagues with people dying off left and right to new mechanics that are either simply unknown about at the time, or lets be honest about it, GGG just didn't bother testing it beforehand and left really OP bullshit mobs in the game. TLDR: So where did all that ex originate? That's the question someone here needs to answer before they can even attempt to discredit posters like the OP. my evasion is so high i only insta rip sometimes ----- Bug Fixes: People were using cyclone for actual melee builds, so we nerfed it and made blade vortex. Also, we went ahead and made cyclone great for CoC casters while we were at it. Last edited by Legatus1982#1658 on Dec 8, 2015, 10:07:40 PM

" Most likely RMT and GGG. Take Warbands/Tempest league for example when there was a sudden influx of ilv74 coils being sold for 2-3 ex. Chris said that GGG saw no connection between the coils and their sellers. Later in the league some guy came forward and showed evidence that he was one of the sellers and the coils were purchased from an RMT site which had mispriced the coils. So Chris either lied about it or their system failed to track the coils. Plus even if it isn't GGG's doing that means there's some RMT site out there generating items out of thin air that can't be tracked by GGG. Honestly I don't care that GGG does RMT. RMT items sell at high prices and probably give GGG a lot of extra income from people willing to spend money on it. It's also probably better that they don't admit it because there would be a bunch of butthurt about ethics and everyone will just say "tinfoil hats" when there is only good evidence and not GGG directly admitting it. |

" You make a very good point, but you seem to have forgotten something: the sheer number of players. For instance, " That is actually quite likely. A lot of people reach lvl 62 in less than three days, and that's all it takes to have a chance for a Shav's to drop. Sure, the rate is low, but the number of players is high enough to make up for it. Also, obviously the guy didn't farm the 40ex, but it's not unreasonable to think that a lot of exalts farmed in the first few days make it to RMT (bots don't have lives, they can level quickly and farm early). All in all, I see no need for GGG involvement to explain that, and no element of proof either. Remember Occam's razor. Save a Carrot, Eat a Rabbit!

" Always wonder where "walmart/porter/dygnity" alikes get their INSANE wealth in start leagues and why always so fast... hidden recipe or hidden "economy" (RMT mostly) i dont care, but how easy they make it makes no sense and should not be allowed. |

Wow, I can't believe people are finally waking up. This took much longer than expected. Anyway, this is heading into a good direction. I can finally say this without getting shit on a bunch of delusional people: the 4x unique buff got nerfed extremely hard ~ 1 week after they introduced it. I'd estimate it's around 1.5x now. They just destroyed Standard economy with that dumb buff and don't even keep the promised 4x rate.

" Out of pure curiosity: how do you make that estimate ? How much data, from which source, analysed how ? I'm not trying to antagonise, here, I would just like a slightly more precise statement. Save a Carrot, Eat a Rabbit!
