And this, while i am farming merciless Voll in the stupid hope to get a Brittle emperor (i have only one, and i am farming from days and days) and by killing him all i get are often WHITES -.-
The best unique ever dropped for me in 2 years of play? Rise of the phoenix, a 4 chaos unique. And there is still people that claims that this game is NOT unrewarding -.-

Map bosses already have a rather large loot table, I've specifically seen the harder ones seem to have better ones then the easier ones, at least it seems that way. Even with like 20 rarity you should be getting lots of rares.
The large boxes were replaced by strongboxes in the main game. Adding a box to boss areas that is un-locked until after its dead is a decent idea, I like this because rarity doesn't affect boxes so they can balance map boss drops better around that, instead of worrying about full map parties with a MF culler.
What rarity and more importantly quantity do you have @wispo? It seems to me like you have either 0 or negative because voll has good drops, you might get unlucky occassionally, but doing dried lake runs nets great XP\hr and some decent amount of rares for the chaos recipe.
I find it hard to believe that the most valuable unqiue you've found is a ROTP, not saying you or everyone should find T1 uniques all the time, I just recently found my first one (taste of hate, about 2 weeks ago) but not finding mid level unqiues seems very off to me.
Your character tab is not public, so hard to guess your playtime\activity, perhaps you can let us know how often you play and a bit more about your character?

The only rarity that i "can afford" is that of chayula, otherwise i would not cap resistances :( Still, there are days "of all whites", and "days of many uniques". One day, in a simple white grotto map, TWO uniques dropped at distance of 30 seconds (!!!) one from another. OBVIOUSLY they were crap: my 7th kaom ring (just to be sure that i have one -.-), and that useless wand that fires one additional projectile in SOCKETED gems (the usual STUPID ggg's drawbacks). But really, only phoenix shield in 2 years, all the good uniques that i have (including a legacy coil) have been buyed from other guys. Edit: i forgot: i play all day (apart from 3-4 hours for seeing my gf, she too plays all day and never gets nothing)

You say 2 years, but how often do you actually play? Like actual time spent killing things in game, instead of AFK in town, what is your highest level character, how many maps a night do you do, that sorta thing. 2 years is generic and doesn't actually tell us anything.

Let's say an average of 6 hours a day, for almost 2 years (and a stop of less than 2 months)
I NEVER find a decent unique, always useless levelling crap or mild useful ones (eg pyre). I don't want an Harvest (my wildest dreams unique) every 2 months, but at least ONE in almost two years, YES!! :( Yes i know that it doesn't drop and must be buyed, but it was to make the example :/
And the yellows? NEVER find a pure physical 2 handed weapon (axe, sword, mace or staff i don't mind, but 2 handed) with good damage. Loot. Scroll of wisdom, and ALWAYS those shitty physical + some element weapons. NEVER a pure physical one with good damage, ALWAYS max 200-250 pdps + elements. "Buy one", you will tell me. Ok, too bad the good weapons costs a madness. Orb of alchemy? It creates just more 80-110 phys + 3-140 lightning shit

I have tried Phantasmagoria only once, and only because it was a new map I never ran before. White map, half MF (didn't affect survivability, just didn't 1shot rares and some blue packs), 5k hp. Instantly 1shotted by boss without even seeing him.
This was before the nerf to act4 mobs, but I have no incentive whatsoever to run the map again.
