It desn't matter what level you are, death penalty push players to use good builds and learn game.

more or less:
To get lvl 70 you need good enough build to don't die every 15 minutes.
To get lvl 80 you need good enough build to don't die every hour.
To get lvl 90 you need good enough build to don't die every 5 hours.

If at lvl 90 you die too many times to get lvl 91 then you don't deserve lvl 91 or you do contant too hard for you.

Penalty force you to became better in game.

Also if there is no risk there is no sense of accomplishment or it is smaller.

i said ABOVE 90, not 80-90 ;-)

btw just hit 92 with a second char yesterday. DP starts to hurt ...

edit: cool you have a lev 92 as well. if DP is fine and you play since 2 years, why arent you higher than 92?

To get lvl 90 you need to skip difficult content.

Penalty force you to skip content.

I play for over 3 years and like i mentioned i only play temp league's, i am an altholic (as is evident my my character list + massive amount of deleted characters)

And i play solo for 98% of my play-time.

I also don't really have the desire to push for 100 on most of my characters since i don't think the game is oriented around that goal yet. Though this is a personal stance.

I don't feel the need to prove anything though, just pointing out that i do in fact have played past lvl 90 multiple times and i am not bothered by the experience penalty being like it is.

I leveled a character to 94 in tempest, which only died because of a literal 1 shot mechanic from volatile blood, still not sure how that did that much damage. I should have 1-2 other 90+ characters.

This guy you are replying to is just trying to come up with bullshit arguments like "do you even have a 90+ character or wait now you do have one, why isn't he higher"

People like him don't understand temp league players or the fact that HC players don't continue to play their dead characters usually. To me its funny people won't let this topic go, its a core design function of the game to encourage players to not die, reducing it or removing it just allows everyone easier access to level, which isn't necessary at all.

Our complaints about the experience penalty upon character death being too frustrating are legitimate, and it is particularly annoying to see that people wouldn't even acknowledge that.
