Endgame Gear Impossible to Get or Just an Illusion?

Well here's the thing,
I do enjoy playing this game which I've played around 3 months or so.

I've played other games which are somehow "difficult" and as you claim "hard to grind / get engame gear" and they're not even close to what this game is.

I do understand that endgame play isn't for the player who has a life and work to be done in order to pay bills, however I think a player-based economy completely ruins the fun of playing.

Let's say I build "X" char, I get it to Lv.90 / 100, fully level the gems 20/20 thru grinding, get decent gear, not endgame but somehow decent. Let's consider it's a fairly expensive build and you spent around 10 exalts to get it going. Now, you can't play some maps since you need engame gear nor you can't fully use the potential of the build, once again, due to the lack of endgame gear.

So you get to poe.trade page to look for some shop to upgrade, let's say your weapon.. You find yourself that the weapon you got might cost 3ex, a slightly better one is around 15 / 30 ex (which doesn't have a signifficative add to your overall power) and the weapon with "good rolls" is over 350ex or more.
Now enlight me, how in the world are you gonna farm that much to get it? I get that it's not meant to be for free but I don't think that farming over 3000 hours would get you even close to those prices, given that you have enough luck to even get the half of that value by farming all day.

I don't see any sollution to this, which actually might lead me to move on to other game, provided that I got a job and bills to pay, and I can't spend 24/7 sitting in front a computer to get my gear going to "fully enjoy" the game

The best option that comes to my mind is GGG Selling the endgame gear to a convenient price, or at least improving the rolls for items a tad more. I don't know how many people would agree or disagree with me, but I think 3000+ hours of gameplay should reward you with at least a full endgame gear char, which is not really happening atm.

I played D3 and it's far too easy, which is why I'm not comparing them, I'm not claiming that this game should be like that, however I've played several games which require a lot of time to grind and gear up and I haven't seen a harder game than this one so far.

The drop rate increase did change some prices and I really think it's been a bit more affordable to get some uniques / cards, however most of the "engame gear" is made of godly rolled rares, which is imho, what is ruining this game's enjoyment.

I'd like to hear if anyone from the admins here has a reply to this, whether it's good or bad, I always love constructive criticism.

Guess my question to this thread for players is the point I'm trying to prove:
Do you think a player based economy is well done or do you think that GGG should start dictating the prices of items to make it more enjoyable to the player that can't spend over 10k hours playing a game?

Just my Two Cents ~

TL/DR: Prices are too damn high, GGG should do something or not ?
well the first thing is to accept that there are some builds you won't be able to afford off the bat. There are even some builds that you probably won't ever be able to try. The trick is to find and enjoy builds that you can actually play within your means. Playing the leagues is a good way to figure out what to aim for.
Please don't bring that mindset over here.

Indeed I accepted that, but still my toughts are that everyone should be able to play any build, given enough time to gear up.

I'm playing warbands with a 30k Tooltip Tornado shot ranger and I'm doing fine, the point is that I'd love to get me a "next level" bow, which would increase my dps to around 50 / 60k tops, and that would cost me around 360Ex or 1 / 2 mirrors. And I don't think it should be that way. I serously dislike the player based commerce, yet there's no sollution to that unless GGG decides to do something.

I assume I'd have to either deal with it or play something else.

Community has done a lot for several games, therefore I think GGG Should be aware of that or at least hacve some comments about the issue itself.

Bringing that mindset would make more players to join, and less players to leave after reaching their "end" since they can't afford spending over 10+ hours daily to farm for the CURRENCY TO GET THE GEAR and not even the gear itself.

I assume you don't like or disagree with me, which is completely fine, I never came here thinking I was right and everyone else is wrong, but as I respect your point of view, I think you should give mine a chance and get to think of it carefully.
Don't forget to drink your milk 👌

I enjoy d3, but here's the thing. They're 2 completely different types of games. I love PoE because it's drop rates allow for grinding out one character/ doing whatever.

D3 you can completely gear a character in a couple days.

I don't want the mindset of, what I want takes time, so make it easier to get.

The price of the best items will always be "too damn high" for 99.999% of players. It has to be. They're meant to be something that even most dedicated players will spend a long time working towards, so they're extremely rare. The demand for them VASTLY exceeds the supply. So the price will rise until only the absolute richest players can afford them.

The real question is whether or not the average player can obtain items which are "good enough" within a reasonable amount of time. And that depends greatly on what you consider "good enough".
