I think this gem could be buffed to 5.5%

What's this silly thing? It looks like a green arm tied in a knot.

my own experimenting with poison arrow and mana leech are inconclusive.

This gem is currently not useful in any setup ive seen. Phys attacks are usually fine with 2% manaleech from tree/items. Spells need a lot of supports and wasting a slot for ML is not acceptable IMO.

The way to improve the gem would be to change it from 5% ML to 2% mana leech AND 2% Energy Shield leech at level 20. This will give a good option to hybrid builds (hp/ES) and some sort of solution for those not going for ghost reaver. 2% allows to solve the ES gain in hybryd builds along with common issue for CI/hybrid builds - manaregen. Well, that would be worth a gem slot at least.

Buff Quality bonus: increased Mana Leech rate to 5%
Buff Mana Leech 4% at 1 lvl and 20% at 20 lvl

try... mana leech of 2.5 to 6 (lv 1 to 20) and quality stay same.

Please add this gem to do more damage and/or more damage when leeching like you did the Energy Leech Support to align the benefit with other often used support gems.
I never ever used this one in the current state and probably will not.
