no other change, good luck getting gggbb colors! It's hard. Personally I would just sell the Voll's and use tabula, no mana penalty, don't have to blow 200 chrome, and you don't really lose much stats.
6l volls is worth using though, for life leech gem.

You can feasibly use all projectile spells, but ball lightning and magma orb benefit most from knock back jewels in this build. If you want good knock back then you need barrage: kb will fire acouple of projectiles all over the place while barrage focuses a predictable number of projectiles in the same direction. Read mechanics section to understand the math of barrage. Kb also suffers huge mana problems which I just don't want to deal with.

Look up terrornoid shatter chuck lite build for other gem combinations, he has a different but equally viable skill tree as well and isn't limited to projectile spells. He doesn't use knock back though.

I encourage you to experiment! Best part of coc.

How do you sustain the blood rage life cost? Just cast frenzy and go barrage? You get enough life back to regen it ?
Atm I don't have 6l Voll's or vaal pact. So I sustain br with life Regen from the tree. With the shield I linked (see blood rage section of guide) using Leo's mod reduced damage taken over time, I sustain it fine.

When I do get vaal pact I may reconsider using bloodrage/frenzy but atm it's free damage. Or maybe I'd just use blood dance.

Been trying this build out and recently got to level 40 so i was able to swap in CoC skills. Seems fun to play so far but need to resolve mana problems with the gem as you described. One other issue i'm seeing is how much int and str you need to get on your gear in order to level your gems. Looks like you have about 120+ int and 75 str? Can you speak a little bit about this or outline what you might need total on gear for these stats in order to reach max efficiency?

Yeah int is a bit of an issue, but not impossible. Early in the league/levelling I used the Fertile mind jewel in the socket between scion and shadow .when you eventually replace that with a knock back jewel, seek int on gear. The easy places to get int are from helmets, gloves, and boots. Int can also decrease the cost of jewelry because you're not looking for tri res pieces . you really only need 2-3 pieces with high int (30-40) by endgame, look for good lapis or agate amulets as wel. Strength is not a huge issue, you only need it for purity of fire. You mostly make up for it with a heavy belt or one piece with a decent str roll.

The build doesn't use many uniques so I feel that it was very easy to cap res and meet Stat requirements.

And before you get the mana on hit jewel, just use mana pots. People make a big deal out of it but it truly costs you nothing as you're levelling.

Yeah, i've been able to get most of my leveling gear so far for under an alc a piece.

This is my tree so far at lvl 42 - can you give me some pointers on where i should head next? I'm in Cruel act 2. When should i get acro? I have Tabula already and linked my items in previous post.

PS: What do you think about using Doedre's for charges and freeing up a slot on tabula? Seems like a pain though to keep the counter going.

Also, what are other good stats on jewels to look for with +2 mana on hit? seems like there is a shortage on crit chance ones. Projectile speed, attack speed, crit multi...etc?

Looks great so far!

Get acro when you feel like your life is starting to dip too low on encounters. I did it mid-cruel, perhaps right before act 4.

otherwise, looking good. I would go for depth perception and then maybe Thick Skin. Then after that Heartseeker -> ranger evasion & life. Keep alternating between a few levels of crit nodes, then a few levels of life nodes; there's plenty of life down in the ranger/duelist areas.

I don't like doedre's elixir, never found it necessary. I'd rather have an extra resist/life/mana flask.

A note on attack speed - if you follow the last few pages of this thread you'll see that there are 2 ways to optimize barrage coc dps: high attack speed ( aiming for 3-4 aps) or low attack speed (must be below the breakpoint which is either 2.05 or 2.2 aps, needs further testing)

If you're playing the slower barrage version (which is a bit less skillpoint-intensive bc less investment required on attack speed nodes) then don't get AS jewels. If you're playing the faster version (works very well with dual wield and frenzy charge stacking!) then AS is cool.

Also nice are crit chance while dual wielding, crit multi, spell/projectile/elemental damage. Life is always good.TRY NOT TO GET PROJECTILE SPEED!!! It will make your Ball Lightning travel faster than Magma Orb and possibly knock it out of range before Magma Orb can arrive. At the same time it also decreases the amount of hits Ball Lightning can deal to an enemy (which may skew knockback chance). I don't have exact numbers on how it will affect knockback , but just assume that 30%+ projectile speed will make this build all screwy.

Question about off-hand.. I am using a ES shield atm because of the spell dmg and resistances. It seems because we are going evasion that I should be trying to get a good evasion shield but then I get no spell damage at all.. + off hand doesn't give crit either so really what would be better + 50% spell damage and resistances or 1500 evasion and resistances.

Also I am interested in knowing what you think the best uniques would be for this build.. I know you dont have them listed because this build is pretty cheap but if you had no currency issues what would you prioritize?


Also I don't like the need to keep the frenzy charge buff with the extra skill.. the buff doesnt last too long even with all of the passives and needing to hit a mob 4-5 times just to get it before I can start throwing balls out really doesn't interest me. Have you ever considered throwing poachers mark into the build at all? I know we got a curse with CWDT and thats fine but even manually cursing with poachers before throwing balls out feels better.. what is your opinion on poachers mark and if you were to throw it in the build what would u put with it.
