WTB Better trading system.........

This old d2ish 2001 spamfest is barbaric and sad, its 2015, CHANGE IT.

that's the dream man... that's the dream. but I think the trend is indeed going toward more people wanting a better trading system, so I for one have hope

They could do the old fashioned auction house and just use the currency. Put the item on, have a pull down window with what currency you want, add quantity, set a buyout if you wish, boom done!

Reducing player interaction in favor of a passive, "single-player-esque" solution seems detrimental to the game. Consider for a moment that Diablo 3 removed their auction house because it was so damaging to the community.

I think the system now is fine.

Reason why I didnt like D3, items were way to easy to find.

That we have to use a fanbased AH instead is a disgrace. Esp since GGG promised us a better system over a year ago.

You do realize poe.trade along with either of the trading tools is much more then GGG ever intended us to have access to, from a trading perspective?

It should be TRADING not just click and collect money. OP seems like hes misinformed and thinks the only way you can get trades is by spamming trade chat...


"fan based" You do realize that the less time GGG focuses on doing stuff others do for free, the more time they can spend actually doing improvements in the game that 3rd party sites\apps cant do?

a "better" trading system is 9 times out of 10 is one that simply makes it easier for players to acquire exactly what they want.

Thank the fucking heavens that PoE is not really about promptly giving the players what they want with a few button clicks.

D3 showcased very nicely how "Item E-Bay for Free" does nothing more than fuck up the quality of the game world inhabited by players....players who want nothing more then progress shoveled down their throats. just two groups of idiot players and idiot devs jerkin each other off in a chorus line perpetually...

if you are interested in just gently providing more convenience to players along the lines of ..say...a trading post that just shows you a small cache of random player posted shit for sale....that's worth thinking about.

but the measure of convenience is so tightly related to the balance of character growth that almost immediately any talks of improvement are simply harmful overall......they almost always start with a wish for more convenience and more automation and end up just streamlining the whole entire journey...and that's a horrible thing.
