Simple answers.
This isn't a crit build, so we don't take any crit nodes from the passive. The bonus you would get from Breath of Lightning isn't worth the four points. It's too little damage and we shock quite often without. The shock duration also doesn't really help that much. Those 4 points can be spent elsewhere so much more efficient. IGN - Blackdepp

You have innervate and passives that gives you shock.
My arc'er is 54 and I have 35% to shock. More than fun enough. Esp when i can cast 2-3 arcs/s^^ Thanks Blackdepp for a nice "in" for a fun build to mess around with :D <3 Arc is so fun and easy to play with, having a blast! Sry for my english, but i would to know, why you dont use a 6l armor instead of your 4link helm? You should put empower + an another support with Arc. |

As Monum already said, we have a % chance to shock. Passive + Arc = 25% and the quality on Arc should improve that even further.
Why we don't use a 6L chest? Well there are a few reasons. 1. This build is ment to be cheap; 6L lightning coil isn't cheap 2. It would take a hell lot of chroms to get at least 4 blue sockets on an evasion/armour chest 3. More linked support gems mean higher mana costs 4. Geofri's offers +1 to all gems, what is a very great dps boost 5. I think that's it By the way: Thank you for your questions and you participitation.
