Didn't Chris say that they wouldn't introduce new higher tier item mods?

Last week I could trade my items for about 5k ex worth of other items/currency. Now I would be lucky if I would get 3k ex for the same items. For some this might be a real intellectual challange, but for most it should be clear that I lost about 1k hour of grinding/farming. My question was: how would you feel if someone deleted the same amount of progress from your account.

I don't think I would mind at all. GGG can gladly take ALL my progress, if that means a fresh start in standard, without all the legacy items, and all the exalted orbs made from legacy gear. In fact, a fresh soft core permanent league is one of the things I want the most in this game.

But OT: Act 4. Act 5. Act 6. Act 7. Act 8. Act 9... Do you want ALL new content, ALL new maps, ALL new monsters and so on, to be forced into the same, old set of tiers?
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

It's really hard to sympathize when you use passive-aggressive talk to those who disagree with you.

It is ludicrous to even imagine that crafting a new 6xT1 would amount to same amount of effort. Who is to say you wouldn't need double the grind/farm time for that?

You only lost currency if you made the item in the first place in hope of gaining back it's value through mirror fees or sale later on. If you made it for personal use, you didn't lose anything since the item is still better than what 99% of the population uses to deal with endgame content and is 98% of perfection.

You won't get any sympathy if this is the case, would you feel sympathy if a guy who had 100 millions of dollars lost 1% due to the stock market? No you wouldn't, because he has another 99 which is more than enough.

If you are upset because your item is no longer perfect for the sake of perfection, you were delusional to think something better wouldn't come up eventually (be it in item base or more suffix/prefixes, etc).

Yes, you do (not meant as in insult). Due to the extreme base cost of mirrors, only the best item of any given type will be mirrored. As soon as there is an item that is just 1% better then no one will mirror the old one - no matter what the mirror fee is (within reasonable bounds). Whoever has the "best" item of any kind gets complete control of the mirror market for that type of item.

This is proved wrong : the most mirrored wand in the game so far is not the best one , but the one with 0 fee. THat just proves that there is market for lower fee ( old T1 ) and a market with high fee ( new T1 ).

Was thinking the same thing. For those who don't really care about 1-2% difference in the item when it has new T1, I'd venture to say they would be quite willing to pay a lower mirror fee for a nearly identical item with old T1, or a mix of both.

Considering most of the QQ is from high level crafters who perceive their now T2 mirrored gear is vendor trash, I'd say it "affects" standard more. The effect being negligible, as far as I can see now, a few percent increase.

Havnt seen a "highl level" crafter QQing, but proof me wrong.

Crafting is not harder.

Crafting is harder, its a logical thing, easy to understand, more mods possible > harder to get wanted results.

You think anyone will complain if they hit a few T2s? Oh no, tyrannical flaring harbringer of incision! Time to scour and try again! Only people that will cry about this are those .01% people who are aiming for the new T1 mirrored gear. And frankly, most people don't give a shit about that.

The only reason for those BS posts is about that 0.1%, and the ppl which invested in mirrors.
Current Mirrored weapons will stay on top the first weeks, some bases wont be re-crafted anyway for months, it highly depends on the meta builds for 2.0.
Also the fact that ppl accept t2 mods has nothing to do with how hard crafting is, but u wanna start a craft from a maximum base roll, like we did with tyranical/glythic over the years.

High ilvl bases won't be that hard to get after 2-3 weeks either.

2-3Weeks instead of day 2-3. See the diff?

"not debatable" lol, it's being debated right now so clearly it is highly debatable.

Why are you guys still debating? It was never a promise.

Because it's debatable apparently, lol

You took a snippet from my post... The point I was making isn't debatable. It's about why people are upset, and that IS in fact why they're upset. Just read the whole message before trying to disprove it, it saves some embarrassment.

I guess I learned a very important lesson during the past couple of days. No matter what I say or do, I will never get any sympathy or support from anyone who is not a 1%er. It was quite naive of me to think otherwhise.

There is one consoling thought, however. When everything is said and done, when the expansion is released and the dust settels, when the new mirrorable items have been crafted, you will visit our shops and buy our legacy items and pay our mirroring fees. We will welcome you and politely conduct our business. Just like in real life.
so basically you admit that your business is still alive, even with 2.0 . Good. Now we can proceed to another topic.

i remember most of your mirror items having iiq on them. those wont fall in value at all, as there arent high enought bases for the new mods crafted on, that have iiq
I would think even the people who HAVE 5000 exalts worth of stuff should be welcoming this change. If you have THAT much wealth, then what else is there really left for you to do in the game now? You can already easily afford anything you need in order to try any build you want. You've probably been facerolling the content of the game for quite some time now. What else is left for you to do? Acquire ANOTHER 1000ex? How exciting...

At least with this change, you'll have something to work towards again. And as everyone has pointed out, it's not like your current "wealth" will be completely gone and all your items will be worthless now either. You'll still have everything, it will probably still be more than adequate to faceroll everything in the game with, it will still be better than what anyone else has for quite a while at least, and you'll still be able to sell it for quite a bit when something better becomes available for you.
