Didn't Chris say that they wouldn't introduce new higher tier item mods?

Given that they were honest about not wanting to do this, there should be a thorough explanation as to why they felt compelled to. I can't see one.
One the topic of "growth and evolution"... that's nonsense. The max level of affixes has nothing to do with growth. They could have added new material to the game suitable for the existing gear and that would be just as much growth and evolution as adding the same material with a new number attached to it. They chose not to. It should be explained why this choice was made. Last edited by Shagsbeard#3964 on Jun 17, 2015, 8:09:50 AM

" Not bad, because the new T1 mod seems at leat 2 times harder to get than the old one. So basically the money you invested for your old 6xT1s is clearly unsufficient to craft new perfect gear. You are worried because you can't get free exalts from it anymore ? I am afraid 99,9 % of the player doesnt give a fuck :) Maybe you can start playing with it and discover that your "obsolet" gear is finally facerolling 2.0 content. By the way, one the most mirrored item in the game is not perfect, and has no fee, at all. Could be an idea. IGN TylordRampage

I, for one, am glad they're introducing new tiers of affixes. It's a good decision for the long term health of the game. Why? Because it gives players more, and better options to strive for when it comes to gear. It was starting to get "stale" just looking for the affixes that have been around forever.
And the other great thing about this: It sets a precedent! Now GGG can introduce whatever they want into the game in the future and the player base shouldn't get upset about it, because they now realize it can and will happen. Like others have said: This is a game, not an economic simulator. To those that are upset by these changes I say this: If you got a tier 1 piece of gear (mirrored or original) in the past, then you can do it again in the future. |

" there are possibly no, or only very few 100% perfect items (i think there's a belt) also, eventually, these so called "perfect" items will be found.....may it take years, but they will be found. and then, would the crafters be mad because their "perfect" gear is obsolete? |

I believe that the infinite monkey theory is a brillant one. But still, only a theory.
And of course they won't be mad. Just because they were beaten by god. And that is an honorable loss. I believe that the topic is so inflated only because - like many times before - the communication is not good. I mean, look at this: One GGG-posting on the last i don't know pages. And that was even a very personal one. In the end, GGG has every right to do what they want to do with their game.;) And the crafters .. well, don't. The Sirus fight is a disgrace.

I welcome the Idea of higher tier mods, because I don't want to see Act 10 lvl 82 Zones.

" it means a lot to temp leagues even more than to perm leagues. You wont be able to "easy craft" your items and finish them in bench. More tiers means more possible rolls. There will be less high dmg weapons during the first week than in the last 2-3 temp leagues. Also the acquiring the new ilvl bases will take a bit more (and you dont wanna craft on base which hasnt the potental of all max tiers). Crafting in general is harder now, but can have a slightly better result by investing more curerncy into it (avg - ofc not that xtrem lucky rng hits). Chris said in ZiggyDs Q&A that there will be changes coming with the new bases and ilvls, but they wont destroy crafts, >they did not!< , but the new stuff will be a bit better with 6t1s.
