Divination Cards

In the rush for XP I can't imagine myself farming only one (perhaps lower level) area for a specific card. The only case I would do it if I have 11/12 Cards already, and i can't buy the 12th one easily. I guess the rarity of a card would be between somewhere gcp-divineorb rarity? Well, these don't drop often, and if I get a Card for 5 hour farming, i'd better farm higher level maps with better drops and more XP for 5 hours, and spam tradechat "WTB X card for 1c" Though I don't know the area-level-map system of the Awakening, maybe it won't turn out like this. Also I don't think we will see much "Card-Vs-Card" trading, as currently "item-vs-item" trading does not exist, only item vs currency, so probably cards will have known prices, you'll just buy them from some chaos through chat/indexer. Though randomly finding and haording cards will be good, can be exchanged for free currency when you need D3 treasure goblins's escape portal is an entrance to Wraeclast

Honestly, I don't like the idea of these cards in the hands of players.
Several issues: 1: Are people allowed to pick diamond supporter uniques for divination cards if they didn't design the unique? What if a diamond supporter doesn't want his unique available for a divination card. 2. Warped availability for the uniques that get cards. No matter what happens, the uniques that have cards available WILL become more accessible. That means uniques that don't have cards become the odd-man-out, what if (hypothetical), noone makes a windripper card but someone makes a mjolnir card. That means the people who like to play windripper builds get shafted because noone wanted to fork over 1100 bucks? Meanwhile the people who like mjolnir builds are laughing it up as they farm their designated area. It all feels strange to me for the way PoE was designed. 3. We are getting a loot filter. This mean troll cards won't just be useless.....they literally won't even exist on people's screens. Why even let people design such things. 4. We already had a system for pieces of currency items. Remember shard of alchemy/transmutation/alteration? |

Wish I had the imagination for it but why Isn't anyone taking this opportunity to design a card that gives you a unique map that doesn't drop and can only be obtained with the card set?
Or maybe the demigod items? |

Its been pretty boring recently..
waiting for 2.0.. waiting for 2.0.. I have not been playing the game or the forums much recently, all I do is chat, pvp, and run my dailys.. but am still very much looking forward to 2.0. bringing some much needed hype, excitement, content, and high player numbers. That being said, I think these divination cards are going to be really cool. We have an awesome community including some top tier supporters with great ideas and concepts, and things that GGG offers like these cards add layers to P.O.E. simply non existent in the majority of other games. I obviously do not know how this system is going to exactly work, but I am confident its going to be pretty cool. 2.0 is going to change the game we have been playing so much already.. this will just be more cool stuff. GGG will balance the cards appropriately, will eventually fill gaps with more cards depending on what supporters do and do not choose, and if it's at all possible Path of Exile is going to be better and more epic then it is now. Looking forward to it. :) Mwaahaaha do what you want to the girl, but leave me alone.

" 1. You need the unique supporter permission before the card can be designed. 2. GGG has said they will step in to design cards depending on the meta after the highgate packs are over. So any imbalance not intended would only be temporary. 3. What's troll to one may not be to another. Who's to judge? 4. The difference between divination cards and shards is that you can do targeted farming for the former.
