I still don't understand what the supporter gets to design. Can someone explain?

The name, the lore of the card, the item you can get trading those cards to act 4 npc. After that, GGG artists will male the art for the specific card (probably collaborating with the supporter like happened for the custom forum avatars). GGG reserves the right to not approve certain designs of cards.

That's what i understood from today's post news.

Not sure that you would even have any input on the art etc since they say "Once we've agreed on the above details of the card, then you're all done! " on the pack page.

You are right , i read it again and it says that they'll make the art for the tarot without specifing if the supporter has voice on it.
So to summarize; Supporters get to pick the card name, flavor text, and what item/currency a complete set will yield.

Got it, thanks. Still not sure the word "design" is really applicable though....

Keep us updated on the process and what you got to do actually, sick title. +rep
There does not seem like a lot of design that goes into these cards on the surface but perhaps there is some flexibility in the item.

For instance, we're all basically thinking of a currency item, base item or unique.

Here are my "What Ifs":

1. Vaal Fragments that can be targeted. Perhaps this is where a supporter can push to have it in a map.
2. Items w/ specific mods. For instance: Random Magic Item w/ Random T1 Modifier.
3. Flask w/ Surgeons Mod.
4. Specific Map bases.
5. Random Magic item w/ Master Crafter Mod (Vagan Hits Can't Be Evaded, etc.)
6. Legacy Items (pretty sure this one has already been proven to be possible)

Etc. (Fairly certain I'm dreaming but how nice would some of those be?)
Thanks for all the fish!

I hope few things, apart from suggestion 6 and MAYBE 2, tha this wont be the case.... i mean seriously do you really want to farm god knows how much for set to get freaking flask.....seriously?

Also i hope it wont be like now with corrupted areas, where you need to spam open zones until lag spike so you know there is corrupted area there.
Mirror of Kalandra
1000 cards required to redeem
Can only be found in the Vaal Temple
My perspective is perhaps unusual. I know the problems inherent to giving too much design freedom to supporters. I've already designed my card pretty much. Its a welcome change from the back and forth tug o war with the ever so busy devs I've endured these past three years.

Don't get me wrong. It was totally Loreal, but good on GGG for being a lot more restrained this time around.
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period.
On another note, one thing i dislike a lot....most of cards will be made by suporters that donated a lot of money.....95% of those suporters are people that barely get to merc, let alone end game....so 95% of the card set rewards will be uniques like The screaming Eagle, or Limbsplit and so on....or flasks....

So, my guess, your card is around lvl 30-40 zone, you chose the boss and as reward some lvl 20-30 unique?
While promising the supporters freedom, I think Chris said the general intention behind those Cards is to have stuff like Shavs be something casual players can work towards to. I hope we dont get as many troll cards and those cards will have an actual affect on the game.
