Divination Cards

Divination Cards are not strictly counter to the "everything can drop everywhere" policy.

Targeted farming does imply that some places are better than others for a given resource or item.

I'm really happy that this means that GGG can "shard" rare materials, though. If it takes 20 cards to get a Mirror and each drops at 1/20th Mirror rarity, then people will be able to trade parts of mirrors instead of all or nothing. It's like adding nickels and dimes when all we have are dollar bills, which is a great thing.

Oh, i really like this, i hope it is like this...brilliant

I just wish they find some courage and create few more end game strong, NOT OP, uniques

Lately, and by lately i mean last year, they didnt create 1 end game strong unique

They are scared that they will create OP unique which a lot of people resent them, and i dont get it, if you made mistake, and when you get feedback that you created OP unique, just nerf it within 2-3 days.....

For me best way to keep me playing is hunt for strong uniques / items
It was a joke. But I hope GGG find it in their hearts to see the wisdom behind the humour.

If you think The Goddess Bound is only going to be worth one exalted orb in 2.0, you haven't been paying enough attention to comment.
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

Yeah, except it would not surprise me at all if they make one or two cards within a set much more rare than all of the others. Especially for valuable items. Which means you really have nothing unless you have the rare card.

So guys, those "Divination Cards" sound cool huh?

What do You think will be designed?

If it's anything like Grandmasters I'm expecting a lot of the high end uniques/currency, but also the occasional ILvl 1 driftwood wand.

Question: do you intend to release more cards after all the supporters have made their choices?

I mean, the feature can be awesome, but the people deciding which uniques obviously are going to be biased. (for example, leveling ones are going to be ignored, so non meta uniques/items)

I assumed GGG would be designing a bunch themselves, just as they did uniques and monsters. :)

The GM hall was just a more chaotic, design restricted Ruler concept. ;)

I doubt they'd leave something this potent primarily in our oh so incompetent hands.

Choosing the unique is enough to be screwed up.

I just with this is not one of those one shot concepts, and they expand it in the future to make sense for the game.

It seems like a powerful tool for self found/low trade people.

Actually i think it is intended to suck people more into trading.

For example you are not trader and you get 8 out of 10 cards for shav....what will you do?

Ofc you ll try to trade for last 2 :)
There could also be race-oriented cards. Silverbranch 1/2, Normal Fetid Pool, abundant frequency. Decide if you want that instread of running to Ledge.

No, there couldn't, it's act 4 vendor, but I leave it here anyway :)
It almost defeats a purpose of having cards drop in normal act 1-3. Sigh.

That's not how cards work according to a Jonathan post on reddit.

Every card is, in effect, it's own new currency. When you get enough, you exchange them for the item on the card with the vendor in A4. Per card-type, the cards stack (so you could have a stack of 11 Archdemon (grants The Harvest) cards in a 1x1 in your inventory, then the next Archdemon card you get, you take the stack of 12 and turn it into the guy for the unique).
Yu gi Oh?
