5L, 6L drop.... true or myth ?

lucky to find a decent 6L like that for so cheap I think. 2ex in 40 days is, I dunno, about right? I feel like its about right. If you play super overpowered builds that destroy tons of mobs per hour and you no life the game every single day ull be finding more than that I think. I think Ive found 3 exalts in 1 day before now, I have friends whove found the same.


regarding the topic, Ive found two 6 links, both rubbish (not counting tabulas, found I dunno how many of those, maybe 5? 10? dunno).

5 links, I feel like I find a 5 link virtually every day, I leave most of them on the floor now tbh.

Been playing since closed beta, no 6L drops. My brother started about a year ago, has had 2 6L drops. Joke's on him, he's given both to me (one to use, one to sell) cause he didn't need them XD

Since I'm not playing via Steam I can't really keep track of my time played but I've only found 1 6L over the last 3 leagues.

I've made 2 myself in the last two leagues, both off of white chests using scraps, the first one took about 600 fusings and the second was done after about 380 fusings.

To venture slightly off topic, I have a pretty small sample range but in my guild we came up with an average of 1 EX per 2,5-3d game time so an Exalt every 60-72h.
Of course sometimes you just get lucky like I did when I've found 3 Ex within 2 hours of playtime only to not find another one for 3 days straight.

We also had that one guy in our guild who chanced a Shavs and 6L'd it with about 13 fusings.
The same guy also found a Windripper though so he was definetly sleeping with someone at GGG.

Sometimes RNGesus loves you and sometimes he doesn't.

Vorici prices are higher than the average jew/fusings needed. But you never know with RNG...

They drop but are insanely rare. Played a lot (1000+hours) and got one by a mob.

not sure if these are really comparable. On the one hand, 5 sockets need a decent itemlevel to be able to drop (50), while exalts can drop from the very first steps inside the game - even before Hillock. On the other hand, 5L seems slightly more common, at least to me.

Indeed. Got my first ever (beside TR) yesterday - on a white level 58 bow. So unexpected, I was close to vendor it for the Jewellers... ^^

vendoring a 6L actually gives you a divine orb, I vendored one of the 6L that dropped for me.

So far Ive found 2x 6 links and 2x eternal orbs, given how rare they both are Im not sure if any real conclusions on comparative rarity can be drawn from that tho.

you can even drop 6L unique ( if you are a luckbox )

It's more like if you pick up 350,000,000 you will surely have about 1000 6 links. I'm not quite sure you'll have one after only 350,000:P
