Grim Dawn or Path of Exile?

I will agree that PoE triggers that "work ethic" that most of us have. You have to work the game to finish it.

Biased? If so I'd say I'm biased against GD and favor PoE, since you cannot cheat and hack in PoE. At least not easily. GD is as open to modification as a game could get.

Maybe in a year Grim Dawn will be worth playing. It feels unfinished and that is because it is unfinished. $25 for a beta is also something I have learned my lesson on, in part thanks to Grim Dawn.

Not really. At least when I tried it gameplay was better than PoE, as you can have a variety of different skills, not just 1 attack skill like 99% PoE builds have. Not being limited by gem slots (in aura builds you often hardly have any left) and only 8 hotkey (7 actually) slots for skills feels great.

For example in PoE I found that for me playing Animate Weapons build was impossible since 7 skillslots (1 for move) was not nearly enough for all the skills that I needed.

GD: has no interesting skills
POE: Has a crap ton of interesting skills and skill modifiers

I get bored pretty quick playing GD, its not a bad game, but imo even Titan Quest was better, the classes and skills were far more interesting
