The curses are caused by the armour, you didn't cast them, so they are unaffected by Hex Master's infinite duration.

I guess the freed up gem slot from the mod will be best used for a portal gem to get rid of any pesky curses.

it has base spidersilk robe..Hard to obtain that with chance+scouring since the covenant has also the same base
