GGG snuck this crap onto my computer, behind my back, lied about the purpose of the patch, violated my privacy because they didn't trust me not to cheat. Am I supposed to then still trust them not to use their newly installed capabilities maliciously or to access personal, private, data? Hell no, I expect them to be a sneaking, lying, untrustworthy skunk like they've just proven themselves to be.
I've already uninstalled PoE, will never be reinstalling, will never have anything to do with Grinding Gear Games again, so I don't give a shit about their forum rules or any damn thing else that concerns them at this point. However I had to relog back on these boards just long enough to post this message.
To my fellow US citizens,
My generation, my father's generation, and his father's generation all fought and died to keep and protect the rights you all have as free citizens of the U.S.A. Now it doesn't even bother you when a freaking game company goes behind your back and violates those rights? Man, what a let down, what a waste.
Wow, overreacting much? And you really have something to hide then or you didnt react this way. Oh, btw, there are cameras on the street too, so you may wanna be more careful where you go and what you do. ;)

Tbh, I dont live in the USA and neither does GGG. You agreed to the TOS of the game and in there it says they can do whatever they want. You are free to leave, nobody will stop you. They monitoring the processes i have running doesnt bother me in the slightest and I am sad to see it bothers you, but hopefully you will find a company you can trust (doubtful though since every company does this stuff, you know Warden runs in all Blizzard games for example).

While I do agree what GGG appears to have done is quite shady. A couple of points.
1. GGG is not an American company
2. They don't technically have to divulge their security procedures, but even then, there should be some common courtesy involved.
3. I haven't played in months, so at least I don't have spyware on my PC. (anyone that doesn't think this is spyware, please explain)

Nothing in the TOS gives them the right to spy on other processes running on my computer. They are in violation of the TOS with this last patch.
As for the idiots posting, principles ya know, sigh.. guess you don't.

EDIT: I reread your post, and my point is invalid.
