Levity aside, I think patience is key right now.

We don't have enough information from either official, or non-official channels. This is all just pissing in the wind at the moment, and detracts from what should be an opportunity to actively engage with the devs about what their expectations for the tool are, and what potential impacts it may have on the community and game longevity.

I can appreciate that you may have had good intentions with your OP, but the needless QQ, threats to leave, general hysteria, and other bullshit from others has been counter to that.

Well, was kinda hoping to get a bit of official information. Maybe they'll come out with more info, but I have my doubts. It does serve an interest for them to keep any and all details private. I don't think a little pressure hurts the odds of maybe learning something about it, though. If nothing else, all the talk may make them rethink things a bit internally. Re-examine things they may have overlooked.

Not going to happen. They know if they deny it, people wont believe them, and if they admit it, people will bury them. So lose/lose. Only thing they can do is hope that people get bored and stop talking about it.

Basically their ToS says they can do whatever they want, monitor/track/transfer data, and any laws in your country of origin don't apply. It pretty scary in truth

This is 100% irrelevant. Terms of Service or EULAs are not able to supercede countries' laws - this has already by handled in court, both in EU and US

Because Blizzard has refined their system for over a decade, while PoE's version my be working in its infancy. If this is some homebrew punkbuster, it should be questioned, because it will most likely have some oddities.

So? Ten years ago, the wardens came on. Nobody questioned them at the time.
