I am sick of spending hours trying to trade for upgrades

Nice, player made tool that mimics an auction house, but its not an AH.

We don't need an auction house guys look we made this.

Actually that is useful, thanks.

If only there was some kind of convenient trading forum here on the PoE site that people who disliked the Trade channel could use. Oh wait, there's 6 trading sub-forums...

Except they are not convenient (no search option) and they appear not to work very well. Check the buying section: so many ads take the form of the item people want to buy followed by a list of ridiculous offers that in no way satisfy the buyer's needs.
Did you know level 91 is the halfway point to level 100? This means that a softcore character dying ONCE at level 85+ can lose many days of progress.
(Its a hard game for Players that really want to get into the game. If you don't like some key features of the game you probably should look for a different game to play. Trading is a big part of this game and an AH is something that most likely never will be added. So stop wasting your time getting flamed by Fanboys and carry on.
And thats not meant to sound angry or anything - just a thought.)

I like trading. I can get exactly what i want and i can trade it for something i dont need but the seller wants. No silly Gold Values for Items: "Oh my item got 6l its worth at least 10m Gold". Nope - my 6l is worth w/e i need. I don't trade items for exalt/chaos (fuck it i wont ever use exalts anyways) but i trade them for QGems or other Gearparts i need - or even for a few Granite flasks for me to roll if i need them.

And if you don't want to waste time Selling/Buying your stuff - Open a Thread in the Trade Section of the forum. You can continue playing and with a lil bit of luck someone will wispher you ingame.
Dear Math, please grow up and solve your own problems, I'm tired of solving them for you.
This thread is NEW and exiting.

Dat blizzard yo...screwed up 90% of the gamers with the lazy and antisocial designs.

Guess that's the way RPG/MMO-s will be from now on.
Trading is not supposed to be easy, because if it is then People wouldn't have to kill hordes of monster to get upgrades.

Grinding is a part of ARPGS if it werent we could all stop playing after beating the storyline.

And it is really mature to try and play the 'I won't buy stuff if you don't do what i say' card everytime.

What happened to playing games that you like and whose philosophy is to your liking.

50% of the people complaining nowadays only like 1 aspect of a game and try to change 99 others so that it suits their taste.
“Demons run when a good man goes to war"
It's Path of Exile, not Path of playing the Auction House.

Auction House on D3 basically turned the game into an Auction House simulator where people gave their best to overprice/undercut items, spending more time there than actually in game.

What's the point of item progression/crafting when you can just minmax yourself through the auction house?

You think in extremes too much.
It seems like you only manage to see trading work in two ways:
1) being a fully fledged AH
2) being what we have right now

I propose that there are more options than that. In fact, the current system would be just fine if only we were able to more easily find shops on the forum that carry what we want. The actual player interaction (haggling etc.) should not be taken out of the game.

The frustration really mainly stems from having to click through too many shops only to figure out they don't have what I'm after right now. I recall them saying they are working on solving that problem though by improving the forum trading, so here's hoping.

A full AH like in D3 has many negative aspects which I am sure have been explained already in this or other threads - I don't really wish to see it return.

What happened to making simple suggestions for quality of life fixes that would make the game more appealing to a wider audience? Especially a game in Beta where the devs *want* to hear what the players think about their product (so they can tweak and improve it).

Which is usually the point of a Beta. In most Betas if a certain feature (or lack of) gets enough hate from the players at large, the devs change it. That's the whole point.

That's essentially what is needed. It doesn't need to be a AH a la d3, people just jump on to conclusions. If this tool gets some more recognition and love it would act as a nice item find interface system. I could only hope it can achieve it's full potential...
