Naming and shaming in game....

where did it say that leeching is forbidden except in the weird minds of some players who see themselves as the police of the interwebs? comparing leechers to scammers says it all already. good luck on your mission, comm_il_vec.

naming and shaming should apply in the game as well as in the forum equally.

Eh, they can mute or probate me for naming and shaming. I don't give a fuck. Likely worth it.

for the record I've never named and shamed, but it's funny if you think the ToS is going to scare or stop players from calling out a scammer, leecher, and/or shitlord.

Thanks for clarifying it later, because right here you have said that defending against a criminal in any way is a crime.

You are presuming that the person being "named and shamed" is guilty; while this may well be the case under present conditions, there is a risk that guilt becomes less likely as a result of the practice becoming acceptable - and it is a risk that, for better or worse, GGG has elected not to take.

Or, in other words, bashing specific other players is frowned on, whether they're around to respond to the accusations/flames or not.
Bashing other players in aggregate is also frowned on, for slightly different reasons.

Take your hate out on the monsters, not global chat.
I have wandered through insanity;
I have walked the spiral out.
Heard its twisted dreamed inanity
In a whisper, in a shout.
In the babbling cacophony
The refrains are all the same:
"[permutations of humanity]
are unworthy of the name!"
You are an exile, this is supposed to be a cutthroat environment, you shouldnt be trying to police anything except ToS violations. Just because you guys in 820 feel like you should be able to name and shame anyone who doesnt play by the same rules that you do does not give you the right to break the ToS, I personally dont care either way, I kind think sanctioned witch hunts of the most obvious RMTers and other such cheaters that includes a hostile or allied function that only allows hostility if both players choose hostile, this could be pretty interesting gameplay but im going off topic now.

What I think is we need a 3rd party website where we can freely name and shame assholes.
Good example of the community policing itself. 820 was created by the community and for the community, leechers should be banished.
20 degrees outside but toasty in the tunnel
Wow, thanks OP for shitting all over 820. You admit that you don't use it, then how about a nice big cup of STFU.

For those of us that do use 820 regularly, it is a good community of like minded individuals with the common purpose of sharing master missions ... and there is harmony. I play both sc/hc leagues & the 820 community attitudes are mirrors of each other. Those that leech don't last long. That's all there is to it, period.

Don't need your juvenile need to stir the pot. Go elsewhere to fill your need. Or take your meds.

Personally, I have never experienced anyone leeching in hundreds of chains. Wonder why that is?

To me this sounds strange. IMHO scammers, botters and RMT users should be ridiculed in public and then perma banned. Why is GGG protecting them?
