" This is true! I actually lost 25% xp when it launched, which is a big deal at 94! I figured all I would need is leech gem, and vaal pact like I was before, using just PoE! Boy was I wrong, you need to be using a specific purity to what forms of dmg you will be dealing, and even then it hurts on reflect! I still almost kill myself unless I use a Saffell's Frame, which I think is BS! They need to buff leech slightly, or nerf the god damn reflect. And mobs in general hit hard, I was having a ruff time with my CoC'r so I went to my 91 summoner, did a new end game map...forget the name, but it was higher than 78! " I will go for unwavering stance. At the current moment I have mana issues with 5l Voll's protector in Atziri fight, that's why I'm still running tabula. And yes i will go EB once i 6linked my volls and get one ES on Hit jewel. I'm not dying in maps because of flasks. " I usually go glass mode before my character hit lv 90 for the sake of clear speed. One of the reason i don't die to reflect is how my damage is spread out in forms. EK countered by granite, arc slightly countered by purity at the moment (and the arc doesnt hit hard against a single rare reflect mob), and cold snap countered by sapphire. Another detail on top of that is when I hit ele reflect I try to stand close to it so my EK can hit it and I won't need to tank as much amount of total damage, when I hit phys reflect I try to stand further away from it so that my EK wont hit it. 2.0 ain't no melee patch.

yesterday went for atziri run at lvl 80, golem just failed hard at trio by pulled tentacle girl when i fought w/ dual striker dude...damn that sucks

" You're evidently using a lot of mana cost reduction gear, combined with some mana regen. I would guess you've got one or two pieces of Elreon -8 gear, possibly that's been heavily crafted, and getting a -8 diamond ring that's been well-crafted is very expensive. I see now in your sig you've got a build link (which then links to yet another post for your gear, kind of weird), and it's a well crafted -8 amulet. " 2 exalted to pay for zero mana issues is not that much. And hardly "a lot mana cost reduction", only 1 Elreon item which everyone can craft if they farm a bit. Elreon amulet also frees skill nodes that can be used to boost life or dps. And is not well crafted. It could have a lot better affixes like accuracy or crit mult. " It's a pretty good idea that had escaped me until you implicitly suggested it, but even though I found an uncrafted -8 amulet in my stash and made this with it, I still don't like the EK route. My clear speed seems much lower by ditching GMP for EK (and using something like cascade instead of freezing pulse). Freezing pulse pierces and just does way more damage to a horde than EK+cascade can (cascade is extremely linear, and EK doesn't pierce), plus the GMP basically doubles your projectiles per skill use (and with quality ups your attack speed, and as long as you're not really close to a breakpoint that's a good thing). Freezing pulse also has a good damage effectiveness, good damage (at least when not too far away) and adds a lot more freezing and chills. I haven't really singled it out against bosses, but a three spell combo just doesn't seem good for general clearing purposes. So you're not entirely out of the water on mana cost yet, as the GMP clearing combo still puts you at a mana cost of 9. Makes +es on hit or +mana on hit much easier to sustain you, at least. guys I have tried this build for warbands and getting to lv76 was a walk in the park. Mana is NO ISSUE if you do this:
Go up the tree to EB. Take min 2 jewels. BOTH have to have the "+3 Energy Shield gained on Attack" affix. There you go, endless mana with like 100 es ;). This way I reserved almost 100% of my mana until now and its pretty close to impossible to run into mana issues if you get to your 3rd Jewel slot. This is BY FAR the best mana solving solution I have seen in this Patch. -> go try it and forget about mana :) Last edited by deduct on Jul 20, 2015, 6:53:10 PM
