I guess you don't. Or at least you think to have to behave the same way like your fellow squared friend. Ok. But to get back to topic:
What is it that makes GGG "understanding what is required to make an addictive action RPG" ? And where are the differences? In society, cultural background, every day lifestyle/treatment? Is it just plain numbers (statistics) or is it more/something else? Is it "true" or not? And what do they count as "addictive"? Playing and dying from it? I hope not. Not even "almost dying" from it but something much more life-friendly.

Playing and analyzing Diablo 2 and similar games. It's not rocket science you know.
Although you probably won't consent it is rocket science and also if not, at least worth to discuss about. Because if this was true, the playerbase would be the very first and only developer to ask for designing the best ARPG.
Edit: And if it's not rocket science you can enlighten me for sure? So what is it that makes D2 addictive?
As far as I know, some developers from D/D2 leaved Blizz and work at GGG right now (aren't some of them even the founders?).

I mean, there are a lot of references to this. It is absolutely not racist to point out that a culture has tendencies towards behaving in a certain way; that's kind of what culture is.
Spoiler
My time in Indianapolis was spent around a surprisingly diverse group of people. At one particular factory, you could see different cultures in action, just from observing behavior in the lunch room.
The Hispanics all ate together, in a communal fashion, with each member of the group bringing a large amount of ingredient X to the table. Conversation was usually about family, and what they did during the weekend/off hours. New hires fell into this behavior almost immediately.
The African folks (from french-speaking western countries) were seriously gossipy, and very interested in politics. Almost all conversation was political.
The black Americans almost never brought food from home. They left in small groups, and then collected at a couple tables to chat it up while eating. Conversation was almost always about Pop stuff.
The white Americans ate as quickly as possible, then spent as much time as they could smoking alone in their cars.
We also had some Burmese, who ate in a similar fashion as the Hispanics. They talked very little at lunch.
Call that what you will, but racist it is not.
Absolutely ...
Btw considering talking about x culture gaming or gambling just lead to a probation is pretty much ridiculous ...

No.
Blizzard (north) devs split up and worked on Torchlight, Guild Wars, Hellgate London and most recently, Marvel Heroes. The closest tie GGG has with anyone from Blizzard, past or present, is a common surname.
Ok, thanks for the clarification. Then I was completely wrong about this, my fault.
