Static Electricity seems nice.

I really wanna play this build but am lacking some rares for it at the moment, since my goal is to use Legacy Kaom's and Blood Dance Boots, which puts a lot of stress on the gear. I visited some OLD Voltaxic Threads and I would love to try RRRGGB or RRRGGG with a base of either SA-Chain or LA-GMP-Chain and WED + LL + LGOH.

Inspired myself by this build, it's really great. Started out shadow, though, because leveling with freezing pulse and other spells was much easier than leveling Bows with ranger, especially in this patch. I'm running double Static Electricity Jewels, a rare jewel and inspired learning, very fun jewels.

Items so far:


Not rich enough for maligaro's or rat's nest, but they are not needed anyways. Also, a +2 minions helmet is very good with a golem socketed in it.

Using ice shot atm but I leveled with lightning arrow, and I switch the gems around for more diversity. Ice shot is mainly because of chilled ground, and my friend running temporal chains, so it just stops the mobs that I don't outright oneshot.

That jewel requires 5 corrupted items right?

Besides you better off using Lgoh with the build I find.


Tried to record a Wasteland last night, was all good until the boss.

Build doesn't have enough boss sustain I feel. Plus that boss hitboxes are dumpster juice

I edited it onto the main post as well.

It's basically the same as my first tree with jewels and some new pathing. It's focused on raw lightning damage.

Some things I would personally change from my 1.3 version:

• Drop Lightning Coil / Purity of Lightning and run a Hyrri's Ire for extra dodge. Coil is expensive now and with aura changes, I'd run just Wrath/HoL.
• Run a Frenzy set-up to generate charges. I'd have 6 charges total probably.
• Change up the links quite a bit. I'm not sure what I'd do, but the new Wrath would give a huge boost to Vaal Spark and I'd want to use a Trap/MultiTrap/MirrorArrow set-up to give the build more survivability.
• Test out new skills for delivering the damage. Split/Chain and Lightning Arrow for example.

I may try and re-make the build on Warbands if the league goes on long enough and I run out of new build ideas. I had some of the most fun in the entire game blowing up packs with my Voltaxic - a return would be nice.

i have hyrri´s and the bow, but wasnt sure which build i should use. all 2.0 builds with the voltaxic were not rly optimized in my eyes. tommorrow i will reroll with your tree :)
one point: im not sure if dancing arrow is worth to pick it. it looks kinda meh.
