What solo mapping from 95-96 looks like
|
i alc and go every map until lvl 76, lvl 77 are chis + alc and go, lvl 78 mostly also, besides party cant do mapsmods.
and i can only say, that as a player whos map base has been build up for at least 10k maps, i can sustain 75 maps, everything else, runs out pretty much always, its just a matter of time, if it takes 100 maps or 1k maps. 75s are the maps i can currently sell, since i got so many of them, however i regulary buy 76 maps since they still give me "decent" xp what 75 maps dont. ppl who say they can "sustain" 76+ maps, just dont do enough maps xD i have had many ppl claiming that they can sustain them, 2-3 weeks later, i saw them buying maps xD "Path of nurfs" - LVL 100 + LVL 100 + LVL 100 ENDGAME REAVER

" I for sure didn't do nearly as many maps. That would mean 19 to 28 maps per days. I don't even do half of that on average. As I said, max 10 maps on weekdays and doubles on weekends. Yesterday i tested how much i made for fun. I ran 6 or 7 maps (can't remember). At the end of the day I remained even on lvl 78 maps, gained 3x lvl 77 maps, 3x lvl 75 maps and 1x lvl 74 map and a few lvl 72 maps (which i sell along with lvl 71s and 70s for 1 ex in pack of 50+ maps). Thats easily 2 exalts profit on maps alone. I found a divine too but that was just luck i find one of those once every 3-4 months. Now add all the currency from vendoring rares, choms, regal recipes, found at least 3 regrets and 4 scourings, a couple chaos. Also i sold a few gems about 5 chaos worth. Those easily covered my map craft costs of approx 24-28 chisels, 6-7 alchs and ONE chaos. Yes ONE chaos only cause i only had to reroll a map ONCE yesterday. YOU MAD BRUH ? And as wamosknecht said : learn to roll and dont be scared to play the hardest mods. Last edited by Krayken#1299 on Oct 30, 2014, 12:45:43 PM

" you really investing too much in your maps..on average i invest 5-6c each and a bit more on 78 and i still dont run out of maps. Why dont you give it a try and invest less ? ;) If you are interested in a maplog look here under 2.2 http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1088438 130 maps, medium investment and constantly running 77,78 :) Welcome to the greatest of arenas, Duelist. I wish I had your problems, I can't break through lvl 75 maps. I grind 73-74, get 12 75s, start doing them, get nothing from 5-6 with alching, start to panick, chisel/alch/chaos remaining 4-5 75s, get nothing, cry myself to sleep, start grinding 73-74s again.

Following thread all week...OP and other guy now having a pissing contest and resorted to debating semantics and each others "math" while it actually appears both have viable, though different, mapping strategies.
It's hard to argue against someone's experiences (if they are being truthful about them) because they have RNG influence their outcome and we have RNG influence our own. So someone who has an experience outside the norm can truthfully say "Well this is my experience so I am going to rely on it" but the caveat is always "Your mileage may vary". Personally, I am inclined to go with non-Onslaught method having read everything...it just seems to add up better when weighing both rationales against one another and the costs involved. If you are putting the time in and consistently running maps and ensuring to hit certain IIQ levels it seems like it should be fine...but then again...your mileage may vary. |

" I'm surprised you were able to level from 96-->97 in so few maps. Impressive. My average expense per 76+ map was about 6.5 chaos/map, which is just slightly higher than what you're running (though my avg expense per 77+ map is much higher). As I've said, I think the Onslaught price increase changes its viability and I'm not sure I'd use it to level 96-->97 if I ever decide to dump another couple weeks into leveling.
