Is 350 jewelers to vorici [6s] worth it?

Not as much as you play. On balance you will come out on top on all crafting rolling the dice. Vorici runs about a 33% premium on the odds.

Casuals like people who cant afford to lose it should pay. I'm not really casual but I don't like gambling so I either pay him or just save up and buy 6s6l.

I used to go by the rule of thumb of "6S takes ~1ex worth of jews," but what with how high the rates on Exalts are now... I'm not sure anymore. But I think Vorici is fine here, same with his 5L and 6L; his Chromatic options are usually always bad.

Oh, on the contrary, they are often almost vital for wild off-colouring.
And you don't need to gess if they are or not, because we have this.

I think it all boils down to a few things:

1. What kind of item are you trying to 6s, and eventually 5L/6L?
2. What type of use are you looking to get out of the item?
3. How will this item compare or be needed for future endeavors?

For example, take something like this:



I know that from past experience I've gotten armours that were 6s manually in less than 100 Jeweller Orbs. However, this one was instead done by Vorici after I tried about 100 Jewellers and got no luck from it. I certainly could've went further and odds are I would've gotten the 6s in less than 350 Jewellers. HOWEVER, there is also a decent chance I wouldn't have so after losing 100 orbs to no success, I bit the bullet and went with the sure thing. In terms of fusings, I got that in less than 25 for the 5L, and for now I am satisfied with it...will likely master craft a resist onto it and leave it at that. That said, when it comes to 6-Linking, I am going to use Vorici. Why is that? I'm sure people here will scream and whine and say I am getting ripped off, and maybe in terms of the 'math and logic' I am, BUT...I don't look at just pure numbers, because just numbers don't tell the whole story. Just like the idiot bean counters in accounting positions don't get it either.

This armour is fantastic for a potential Armour/Eva hybrid build, and that's the main thing I look at. 6-Links are quite the step up in flexibility and power when it comes to socket potential for a main skill, and the fact that this is a hybrid chest means that coloring for sockets later on can be quite nice (especially for melee skills). Not only that, but because this isn't a mirrored piece, it means I have freedom when it comes to socket colors and being able to transfer the armour around between builds if I need to do that. So what am I getting at? Looking at this armour for the LONG TERM, putting in 1,500 Fusings and 350 Jewellers (if needed) for getting a sure-thing and taking the RNG completely out of the equation...that is more than worth it for me. I pay extra, but for all the added benefits that I'll get and the like...it's more than worth it.

And that's what I meant by using the points above...there's no sure-fire catch-all situation that applies and should tell you whether Vorici's services are good or not. It comes down to you personally weighing what you are going to get out of the armour/weapon/whatever it is you're looking to 6s and/or 5L/6L.

Yeah, and using that calculator in the past, I've yet to come across a scenario where Vorici is a better avg cost/std deviation... :S

So I assume it must be fore EXTREMELY off-color scenarios, but those are a given that Vorici would be useful for.

That's easy to test by fiddling with the applet.
It's happened to me quite a few times.
For instance, when trying to colour something with no stat requirement.

From my personal experience, Vorici 6s is a waste.

I almost always end up spending less than 350j for 6s, from last 10 attempts only one went over 400, was 450-500 or something. Rest were like 200, 75, 40, 150, etc.

RNG sure is a bitch. I used 670 jewelers just now to get a 6s. Dont get me wrong, I've had those 10 jeweler 6s well. But this time RNGESUS was shunning me.
