Can't kill Vagan

The duel's absurdly overtuned and the timer is the extra insult on top.

1: find a other player at your lvl or higher who want vagan exp (maybe in your guild)

2: ?????

Just tested a 4link incinerate on him..he died pretty easily.

This was on Merci docks.

In both leveling a spectral throw character this past weekend and playing my arc character last week, I found Vagan easy - honestly, I only have problems with 2 masters: Vorici (he's partly the reason I rolled a double strike/spectral throw character this weekend - spark does not lend itself well to keeping enemies alive out of a group) and Zana (seriously, she doesn't appear to exist, so I can't beat her challenges at all...due to her not spawning - maybe once I get my ST character up a few more levels and start mapping on it, she'll show herself, because she's been hiding from my arc character).

Vagan is simply a dps test, and you have two options: one, do enough damage that he never gets the chance to flask (I find this harder to do on my newer characters) or do enough damage that you can still kill him after his flasks are gone within the time limit (the timing is tough on this, but I've been able to do it); or two, post in global/guild/etc that you found Vagan, and watch him disintegrate from not having to fight him solo - remember, this isn't fully a single-player game, so taking advantage of that fact can be to your benefit.

The only real BS challenge I've done is "rocks fall, everyone dies" so far, honestly - and that was in one where kept getting caught up on enemies, too.

Seriously: I've been killing him in 13-15 seconds in merciless and I know I'm not particularly high on the DPS scale.

Now, if they could just knock it off with the unkillable totems and the AoE spam in the Haku missions I would be happy.

Just lost to him in merc ledge. Really annoyed about it because it was a bs loss. It would have been a victory if it weren't for 2 things. He was warping around a lot, and I only had 20 seconds. That variation should be at least 30-40 seconds, imo, or Warping removed. It's really annoying. I was using GMP'd freeze pulse with added cold and faster casting in a 4l, about 1.2k tooltip dps, and I did curse him with frostbite.

He doesn't always have Resolute Technique. He basically fills the full spot of builds you can reasonably do with a duelist. And some of them have Resolute Technique, when he uses a bow however he does not have resolute technique and basically is helpless against Ondars Guile.

PS: If I'm not mistaken whenever he is using his fist he uses Resolute Technique and with swords he seems to have block-chance reduction.
