" I believe this is the case as well. We dont use pots when we encounter him while duel and mostly win. If you use an instant heal pot I believe he does the same(at least from what we noticed in our guild). As said in maps its a whole different story with not good enough gear and 6 man party its quite hard to not use pots or to take him down in the timelimit.(that might change ofcourse when you get better gear/DPS). |

He doesn't like my puncture very much, even in merciless (maps). Kills himself trying to be all quick-like.

Come to think of it... since I don't mind up-close melee (actually prefer it), the matches are OK. I think GGG might want to change things slightly so you don't have to start the fight right in Vagan's face. That's not so ideal for some builds.
Of course, you can actually use some strategy. Traps, mines, lightning warp before starting fight, and so on. This reminds me of the complaints people made of Oak when trying to kill him solo. |

For new players Vagan is nearly undoable in my opinion!
I´m surely not a newbie and know what to do, but the time limit quest is just inbalanced as *** At lvl 54 with 6K dps Heavy Strike --> No chance within the time limit At lvl 52 with 4k Freeze Pulse --> No chance within the time limit tried every trick I had to give...Freeze Mines, Traps, curses and and and - no difference He just drinks his pots at ~20% life or something and Quest failed... every single time i have encountered him. Lvl1-4 he has always drank exactly 3 potions giving from around 20%->100% life

Invite somebody. If you don't have any friends in your league or aren't in a guild, just ask someone in global. Anyone will take a free master mission. He is easier if you have more than one person. Get a summoner if you can, makes it easier.
