How did you discover Path of Exile

People talking about it at diablo forums so I decided to try it myself. Never looked back.
I was 5 when diablo 2 came out so like no experiance with a good ARPG until now. Git R Dun!

Went to the D3 forum on launch day to see why the game wouldn't launch and noticed PoE was mentioned there a few times.
Wonder how many hits the PoE website had on that day? |

Kripp . I tried poe during open beta but i was too much into d3 at this point then i tried for real on poe release and really liked it .

From my brother, as well as a few other friends who were all major Diablo II vets. Took forever to get into the closed beta, but it was totally worth it.

Back when it was released on steam I wasn't sure if I'd like the game, because I'm mainly an FPS/TPS/RTS gamer. But now that I'm addicted to it and playing everyday, I could only say two things: ~ I FREAKING LOVE THE GAME! ~ It's one of the best games I've EVER played! I'm planning on supporting it sometime soon, since NVIDIA's promo code doesn't really count as 'supporting'. Keep it up GGG Devs, your game's a masterpiece. \m/, Edit: Is steam down for anyone else? From ads on RPS. A week after I registered there was a public CB weekend. I didn't play much during Closed Beta at all but was excited by the potential, and towards the end of the CB period I decided to support the game further.

After becoming disappointed with Diablo 3 due to crappy summoning, I heard of Torchlight 1 and 2 which I moved to. Torchlight 2 also has crappy summoning, but I stuck with it until I randomly discovered Path of Exile from a recommendation on youtube.
It was a parody(?) review, but I was curious enough to investigate. Learning it has a good summoning feature similar to Diablo 2, I've stuck with it since. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.
Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish. |
