Atziri Fragments? how about actually having Vaal Zones in maps, tied to map level and mods rolled, where the odds of dropping them from the crazier bosses - and we both know who those are - be 100%, so you can actually face her if you are skilled enough, rather than dumb luck like everything else in this fucking random design? odds can be tweaked but they are still odds. player skill, is not odds. you beat 2 fucking Caligas on a -max map with extra damage and whatnot, got trash, and enjoyed it? bloody hell you should have dropped something insane for that. you must be a masochist. I'm not. and believe it or not, I'm also not happy about zero-risk dropping something godly from a damn barrel because I didn't fucking earn it. and using a Lioneye's bow - that was given to me because fucking hell I'd have no chance to get one no matter how hard I try after almost 2000 hours and thousands of tough monsters killed - only to watch how it completely trivializes content, that kicked my ass 5 minutes earlier no matter what I did, because "difficulty" is 100% gear check? I need a glass of water now. if your aim was to make me lose my shit with your post, you've done it with flying colors. 10/10. there's no "enjoying the journey" when the destination doesn't fucking exist, and the carrot on the stick in front of you can just randomly drop in your mouth or move further away, no matter what you do. and then GGG add insult to injury by balancing stuff under the assumption you already have the carrot, so being a good Donkey that runs fast doesn't even fucking matter. well there's 100% "odds" Donkeys that run fast without being fed, will die of starvation. run faster = die earlier (or not. it's bloody random so maybe they'll have a carrot, or maybe the slower donkey behind them will. the one hardly investing any effort). but yeah they'll enjoy the run, right Scrotie? John if you dont have a "destination" or purpose for playing then why play? Instead of crusading to get express lanes for stuff you want when others are content, you could be trying to find the game that gives YOU the optimal amount of fun and challenge. I really hope GGG never implements the "definites" that you want because it would ruin the game for others, basically making others feel the same way you do now.
Not everyone can be happy with this game. People want so many mutually exclusive things. The developers have been pushing the game in a direction, and in the end, they have to decide how THEY want the game to be. They cant make everyone happy. They also have to make sure the company stays afloat. I dont envy them for any of this. |

" Lets see... how many and how many useful/great vendor recipes have been implemented? And how many RNG based things have been implemented? That catering is nowhere on the radar. ------ Now, RNG is good, if it's not taken into extremities like it's in PoE. The reason for making "crafting" and content behind RNG is the economy, at least I hope so. And those 2 things are obviously the things that people get frustrated about the most. A SFL league opinions would lose most of their activists if there is a non-RNG crafting in here, and not put instead of this one. Players like looting/making their own gear, which is essentially denied in PoE, because of? The content being gated is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen in an ARPG, first time ever have I seen this on that massive scale, and that's for a reason. Sure, GGG are pioneers in this, but I sincerely hope that it will die with PoE. Layers and layers of RNG everywhere you take a look. And sadly, even in the leveling process, which is also a cornerstone of ARPGs. |

RNG is neither good or bad, it's a blunt tool with the sole purpose of giving a value that can't be predicted.
The issue with PoE is the non-random probability table weight values. I'm being royaly screwed by a bunch of gambling addicts that think slot machines is the greatest game in the history of humanity. |
