Crafting improvements in next mini expansion
There are many interesting points here, let me add my 2 cents.
They could have a guaranteed 6l with lets say like 300 fuses, BUT to keep the RNG there, they could also make it possible to get the 6l even with 1 fuse. That way you would know that sooner or later you will get your 6link and you would work towards an achievable goal. Having fuses keep the previous links isn't really a win situation, more like a compromise, as that still doesn't guarantee anything. You could be with 4l for ages. They could also have sth even better. Guarantee the 6 link with a certain number of fuses which would depend on the VALUE OF THE ITEM. So you would need a lot more fuses to get a 6l on a high level / great item than on a normal / lower level one. In any way it should not be so RNG based. " 300 is WAY too low for a guarantee. I think 1200-1500 range is fine. See: there is room here for GGG to keep the game exactly the same way it is - obviously there is some sort of appeal for the existing gambling state of the game for crafting - however on the other hand there's just a sickening disgusting sense for anyone (like me) who've genuinely invested 6k+ fuses for no 6L. I get no good feelings at all - and if it had happened on my 6k-th fuse, the only sensation I would have had was "about fucking time" - no joy would have been had at all. I promise you that. It probably would have served to pissed me off to tell you the truth. |

300 was just an example. Let them decide the number. Over 1000 is ridiculous though :P

I just hope it's good enough to entice me back to it. It's my biggest gripe in this game: being rewarded for my time. Right now: I'm not. The craft and drop rates are set on "dominatrix kicking your balls" setting. |

" Why exactly is over 1k ridiculous? I'm averaging around 50 per night farming. This is about 4-5 hours. Not including anything else found. Just from alts, jewelers, 6S, and fusings. |

Fixed value needs to be higher than gambling expected value.
I would really like better scaling costs so an ilvl50 would be less expensive to gamble/craft than an ilvl 80. | |
" It's ridiculous coz the value of 6link depends on the item being linked too, not only the links themselves. 6linking a high end unique shouldn't have the same fuses requirement as a white / magic / rare average item. That's why I'm suggesting setting the number of required fuses according to the value / level etc of the item.
