Crafting improvements in next mini expansion

Been playing like a year in total and I've only seen 1 exalt drop. ( lots of iir / iiq )

Introducing an orb that is that rare isn't a good idea.

And I'm against anything that involves depending on trading / other players. Linking should be achievable through personal struggle, too.

It should be sth that would give you self-satisfaction, not another thing that people could take advantage of.

I'm all for the fusing idea, which is sth that anybody can get in time.

Invasion was and is harder than Nemesis league. Ambush was meant to attract the casual crowd, so yeah that is easier than standard.

I hear you, but you're talking to someone who quit playing for over a year. Back in CB I exclusively played wacky builds in hardcore. The game has gotten easier in every aspect since a year ago (even invasion pre-invader-nerf).

I've been playing invasion. Pre-nerf, post-nerf. When invaders were hard, their existence and the existence of corrupted side areas still about tripled gear quality.

Remember spamming ledge praying that one of kuduku's 3 drops would be something you can use, maybe allowing you to head on towards brutus at level 9?

Gear and currency are more easily available. About every part of the skilltree has been remade, and characters are stronger overall. The story content hasn't been buffed in return. Desync is less of a problem than before, from my perspective (of someone who timewarped a year forward to have a look). Vaal skills - I brainfart trying to understand how they affect game balance, to be honest. Double edged sword at best, I guess.

Things have changed. Things have gotten considerably easier than vanilla HC back in 0.9.x

My first post wasn't really on topic, and I may have been mistaken. I honestly can't imagine he's talking about anything other than some mechanism for guiding the outcome of crafting. That'd hike character power again. Hopefully there are additional plans...

I don't have alpha access, that was a LONG time ago.

@Zakaluka, the game has gone viral man.

These changes should come to nobody's surprise.

Oh, they don't. It's just my reaction to someone telling me invasion was hard pre-nerf, or that it's hard now.

Just a bit of a double take.

While I understand a lot of people wish 6L items were more accessible the fact is their scarcity is an important end-game motivator not to mention makes the reward of finding one that much sweeter.

If they became easier to achieve then not only would it undermine the process of working for end-game goals, but it would severally devalue the 5L market more than it already has.

I guess this is one of those pessimist vs optimist things but "getting what you want will probably require trading because you probably aren't going to get it through drops" is extremely demotivating. The lack of an actual trading system doesn't help.

It kind of has. Enemies toward the end of act three are both more challenging mechanically and even number wise(higher damage, higher HP, higher resistances). Just nitpicking that point since that's more significant than you think. Pretty much all the most difficult enemies appear in the last two areas(very noticeable when mapping).

I agree the game has definitely gotten easier over time. Even when compared to the old inner force + elemental adaptation(5 max res). The rest of the passive skilltree is just so much better than the past and there has been a ton of indirect buffs to loot.

I didn't play the game a lot (I have a level 42 Witch in standard, my pc is broken), but the thing that bothered me the most was the lack of accessibility in crafting. I had to read a lot to have an idea of what is going on.
Trading is always going to be cheaper than crafting (most 6L items and specific mods were surely crafted, and they are being sold cheaper than the original crafting value; used items will be cheaper). Even then, I would craft because I like to work my items (I like the bound you can feel to your build, and adding items would be nice; I want them to be mine). The only deterrent could be if the gap between trading and crafting was big. I hope crafting becomes easier for that reason...
I don't really care for 6L or insane mods, I just wish the things that are really needed (specific mods, 5L, sockets) could have less variance. So you can at least plan how many orbs and which path you need to make an item.

TY to those who called me out on my BS on these forums. There is no benefit to being so selfish as to fail to acknowledge others' differing beliefs of what "should be" or believe your own opinions so supreme as to be factual and thus dismiss others' opinions as being somehow a lie or delusional.
I always hit a major upgrade wall around level 40. At this point my helm, glove, and boots have to be 4L. Going from a 4L to a 3L is a major downgrade.

So around level 40 I find a drop that has better stats but does not have the needed links. I look at my currency tab see that I only have 6 fussings, decide I don’t want to risk my wealth at this low level item and then vendor the upgrade.

Or I decide I really want the upgrade spend my fussings and only end up with a 3L. In this situation I keep the upgrade sitting in my stash, and it taunts me until I out level it and then vendor it.

In both situations an upgrade drops but I can’t use it because –
1. Linking the upgrade is too expensive for the short time that I use it
2. Luck is not on my side and I waste currency on a useless item

Even If luck is on my side and I can fuse at this level how long until I find another upgrade that I can’t use because I have no fussings left?

When a gear upgrade drops I should be able to equip it. I shouldn’t have to spend my accumulated wealth on an item that I’m only going to use for next 2 levels until I find another upgrade and have to start the expensive process over again.

The current system causes players to forgo the fun of an upgrade to conserve fussings.

Please add a recipe or an orb that will allow me to transfer my 4L from my old gear to my upgrade. Even if the recipe was (item + 4xfussing +item) I would gladly use it.

So you want more perfect gear in the leagues OP? i dont. People already crafting insane shit after 2 month of ambush, crafting is fine.
