[Official] WINE info thread

I do have a discrete Nvidia card, 680.
Playonlinux won't really help, it will in fact break the game completely, your guide is good for fresh ubuntu.
I, on the other hand, am using 10.04.4, and playonlinux doesn't work correctly here.

That's the reason I actually built the custom wine.

And yeah, i do have all overrides mentioned in the playonlinux FAQ, installed them via winetricks
Main question is - what could cause this gamma changes, as soon as i'll pinpoint the problem i'll be able to solve it (hopefully, hehe)

As far as I'm concerned, that's your problem right there. Sorry I could not be of more help.
Thanks for maintaining your page here man!

Even if it can't solve my current problem, it helps community a lot.

I'll figure the reason out on my own, always did, just matter of time, really ;)

P.S. could you point me in the direction of wgl patch you were using?
I'm not sure i've patched in the right one, maybe that's the reason.

I'm getting good results with 1.7.26 and these reverts: https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35718#c84. GLSL enabled gets rid of the 3D glitches, but there's still an offset gap how the mana and hp fill up on the globes.

Thanks, I'll try that next, and report.
Really appreciate it!

Here is the patch for 1.7.26

To use 1.7.26 with poe, you need to have offscreen rendering mode set to backbuffer. http://wiki.winehq.org/UsefulRegistryKeys

Nope, enabling GLSL made things worse, not only this full screen 'flashes' never went away, the game performance went to hell as well

And yeah, it is set to backbuffer from the beginning.
I read you column , obviously, before start asking questions.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\Direct3D]
"AlwaysOffscreen"="disabled"
"DirectDrawRenderer"="opengl"
"OffscreenRenderingMode"="backbuffer"
"UseGLSL"="disabled"
"VideoMemorySize"="2048"
"VideoPciDeviceID"=dword:000011c0
"VideoPciVendorID"=dword:000010de

Here how the registry part of the setup looks like.
Well, i downloaded the sources for 1.7.26, applied the patch (thank you again) configured it, make depend, 'making' it now. It'll take some time ;)
Will keep you posted, and again, I do appreciate you help!
Ok. just tried POE in wine 1.7.26 with the patch provided above.
Same thing exactly. Excellent performance, but bright full-screen gamma changes.
So, it'll take some time, i guess..

I've got it set to fbo, and backbuffer causes weird effects. You can winetricks osr=backbuffer as a shortcut btw.
