Coral Amulet, % life regen?

Coral amulet is OP from lvl 1-10.

Basically, attributes on the tree are almost in abundance. Whereas %regen nodes are scattered throughout the whole tree, they do not congregate at one specific class starting spot. What makes players travel the tree to get those %regen nodes? Because they are OP. Doesn't that explain enough. :/ And furthermore, %Regen scales with your hp, its not a flat value. How is that not op? slap on your GG gear with 70-100 hp and get just 3-4% regen node and you can see the difference yourself. Just equipping a
from 219 to 274 on my 11% pure regen build.

Do you even know what the word OP means? Saying that regen nodes are OP puts a serious doubt at your understanding of OP word.

Attributes are almost in abundance? Is that why I as a Duelist/Marauder have a hard time getting my INT to 150? Or with Marauder to get DEX over 150?
"Base" attributes are in abundance, such as STR for Marauders, etc.
Other attributes are in the same (or worse) position than regen nodes on the tree, meaning that there are more regen nodes than INT nodes in Marauder/Duelist area.

Let me get to this... 1% on amulet is OP, but 3-4% regen nodes are "just". Meaning, if 4% is just and 1% on amulet is OP, one would increase his regen by 25%. In 5k life build, regen would increase from 200 to 250.
Where in the hell is that OP?

OP = overpowered.
Just to clarify.

White coral amulet with 1% base regen BIS for all rf/hp/bm/zealots/whatever builds.

Like Spysong replied to that, this is nothing but a false claim.

The only build that would find 1% the best implicit would be RF, and that can be taken care of.

So no, you still have absolutely no argument(s) on why 1% would be OP.

You actually cannot compare it with other mods. 1% would be op, because of the access to regen in passive tree.

Comparing it with Onxy,Amber etc doesnt make sense, you can get plenty of those in the passive tree, while procentual life regen is really hard to get.

How can it be OP to add 1% life regen ? It's not like you can wear multiple amulets. And %regen nodes might be A BIT rarer than 30 int/str/dex nodes, but those are trumphed by onyx amulets by quite a margin.

1% regen would be OP if everyone would wear it over other amulets, but I don't see that happening.

Exactly.

It's about passive node investment and a bit about item mods themselves. Sure, you can get 50 attributes in a single mod, in theory. However, the reality is filled with life + resists + damage, and attributes are mostly gathered from tree and amulets.

Onyx amulet triumphs all nodes, there is no node that provides the same or higher amount of attributes, and those notable attribute nodes are also fairly rare, like regen nodes.
And single attribute amulets triumph all single attribute nodes.

It's not reasonable to compare regen nodes with strength nodes with Templar/Marauder/Duelist characters.
But, like I've said, INT attribute for Duelist is in most cases troublesome to get, and DEX for Marauder and Templar, etc.

It's a shame that because of poor game balance, we have these shit item mods, whether implicit or not.
Main example, RF build. There's no build that would find 1% too useful other than RF. And plenty of players need attributes on amulets and don't give a shit about ~50 life regen.
Yes ,please, I am an RF char and I would like a 1% regen ammy. I still wouldn't be able to do half regen maps, so how is that really making me OP?
Exile is an illusion, exile!
OP has a real valid point here.

Coral amulet's implicit mod is utter useless compared with ANY other amu type.

And for all the people claiming such thing as replacing the implicid mod to 0.5-1% regen would be "Overpowered", I don't see how the heck having an extra 30-50 life regen would prevent a death in end game (where you can get hit for 2-3k, or even one-shotted considering the new array of bosses). Replacing coral's is by no means Overpowered and would actually make it useful at both early and late game.

+1 to the OP. I would just try to think of what would be a "balanced" value for it. (perhaps 0.2 - 0.6%?)

Nah, that is so UP. I would vote for 1-2 percent. If I get about 150hp regen/sec and what? no life regen map? 50% regen map? Kole crit?

And I dont think that RF build could get more people invest in it, wWay too boring to get along with.

2% ? You can't be serious. Lets give it 5% and 150HP...2% for an RF build are worlds. Kole ? He will be dead before reaching you, since he got low hp and no res...

If you build arround RF you anyway avoid these mapmods.

This. Amulet is crap in general. Imo 0.2-0.5% would be very "decent".

(pro question: Where can you get 40% elemental damage from one node on the tree? Hm...)

noob question: where do u get 40% elemental dmg implict mod on amulets/rings?

rustic sash is OP thats no news ;P

...

Well, % elemental damage is on sceptres, sorry. I still think there are way more powerful implicit modifiers in the game than % life regen (even if it would only be 1%):

claws - 6% life leech
daggers - 80% (global!) crit chance
maces - 40% stun duration
swords - up to 30% accuracy, and the list goes on...

You can only wear one of these items, so why would 1% life regen on a SINGLE item be OP? It would be equal to a single passive node on the tree, while other implicits can give values well over what you can achieve with one passive point.

Edit: sorry for the necro, lol

Edit2: Have you ever seen someone crafting a Coral amulet? Like for maps or endgame? I mean for it's implicit, because all the other amulet types are helpful engame, giving massive stats, rarity, or mana regen which is extremely good when stacked. Having 4 life regen/sec on your amulet is... not that helpful when having 5k+ life. Thats like <0.08%, which is TINY.

But as others have said, it's great for leveling through act1 normal. Then it's vendor trash.
