Coral Amulet, % life regen?

I was just wondering, why not percentage based regen? Like 1% of life regen?

Am I onto something here or is it intended all along for Corals to be for early-game and for Vaal orbs?

because even 1% would be OP
1% life regen would not be OP and would make more sense. Aslong as it was 1% regen in top bracket

Is that a trick question? That would be 50 life/sec on a normally built char. Which would be like 30% of what people normally regen. 90 life/sec with a Kaom build... yeah right, hello righteous fire for everyone... think it might be okay as a very rare vaal outcome

Righteous fire is already practically free for all interested in running it.

I doubt it would be OP overall, you can get over 10% from the tree and even more on gear, just blood dance can give you 7-8% if you build around frenzy charges.

Yes, it would be OP compared to vitality, but vitality works on allies too, amulet is only for you. Although, 1% could be a bit much, paua amulet has similar magnitude as a regular node, which go from 20% to 40% mana regen, so 0,5% would be about right for coral.

Yes, it would be useless in early game but early game is dead-easy anyway, I'm much more for uselessness in early game than late game.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

Take a look at what other amulet bases offer (beside Paua, that one is useless too).

16 all attributes offer a total of 48 attributes, which cannot be acquired in the tree.
24x2 attributes are also 48 value, same as onyx situation.
Single attribute amulets offer 30 point, which are equal to the highest available form a passive node, however, it falls ashort on 20x2 nodes.

Now take a look at the proposed 1% life regen.
That 1% life regen is a "mid" range passive life regen node.

Tell me now why would 1% be OP?
It's actually surprising the useless implicit mods haven't been reworked by now, but I'm pretty sure it will happen at some point.

BS, look at life regen nodes in passive tree, then look at avg dexternity amulet and look at passive tree with dexternity node.

1% regen is equal to 1 node.

How many mods on gear give a benefit greater than what you can achieve with 1 node?
