It should be, I mean you do finish off with 4.4k hp at the end and you can respec so it is over 4.5k hp.

Generally when playing this character from point 1 to 40, there wasn't really any point where I was too close to dying.

I think you just need to be careful. I think melee characters isn't always very good for
hardcore regardless the build but I don't see any major disadvantage to my build compare to other melee builds :)

I would probably invest a little more in my equipment and probably go for the lightening coil for extra protection.

If you do start this build on hardcore I can put your build progression and guide here if you want in the alternative build section :)

To be honest with you I never really farmed piety but instead farmed dominus
with 3 or 4 lightening flasks

Much quicker to get to him ( just whirling blade past everything ) and you get better loot


From quickly looking at your items what I would read though my equipment guide regarding items because by the time you are farming mercless you really need at least a 5 linked preferably a carcass jack or a 6 linked tabala. Having the 5 or 6 links is important because more physical damage means more leech means more survivability.

I would recommend a faster attack as the fifth gem because faster attack the more life leeched.



The second thing you might need swapping is your claws esp with the elemental damage claw with very low physical damage.

You can get a 200 phyisal dps claw for 1 ex. ( I would recemmend getting two )

It has to be physical dps because its the only damage your build can leech hence it is
the bread and butter of the build.

you'll need to go on poe xyz to do some shopping me thinks

I also can't help but notice very little hp stats on equipment but if you are farming I'll probably say physical damaage is more important at this point

I was looking for a build that I could apply to my fully respeced shadow that was like level 51 and I found this. I've been just saving for some items on my other character and today I have finally been able to buy my 6L and 2x Bloodseeker. The last thing to do was to get to level 62 so I farmed Merciless Ledge, Bought multistrike and went to test it out... Holy s***, I wasn't expecting this madness!
I am really happy now that I invested alot into this build because this is really awesome. Big thanks

This is my gear so far, I have to upgrade here and there but it's enough for now

Very nice esp those Unique gloves.

I can see alot of your equipment hasn't got very high life or much critical strike chance.

Critical strike chance isn't too important but life is def very important.

( Nearly every piece of item should be giving you at least 60 to 90 hp )

The only way I see you can upgrade is to
get Vaal Pact on the passive skill and invest in a couple of 300+dps claws. Saying that if you
are doing maps relatively well then why bother.

( Even though I am not 100% convinced bloodseeker will do enough physical damage at higher end game maps but I don't know since I have never tried them before )

Some people have used one 300+ dps clasw and one bloodseeker and I've heard its worked pretty well.

If you really want to min max the build I would invest some currency in some 20/20 gems
but those are optional.

I would say yes..


CI dual claw builds use to be very viable before the nerf to 'vaal pact' for CI but now I don't think there's much point since 40% leech is going to be hard to keep you alive without
flask

I never really liked CI+ ES because the high cost of ES Gear

but it just my advise, always give it a shot

Yeah...it's a shame because there's those awesome claw life leech nodes right next to Ghost Reaver, and they're just down the road from CI...my biggest concern was stun/shock/freeze, but that's a good point about the nerf too. Ugh.
