" While I do not agree with more than a few decisions that GGG has done (too much RNG in the game that could be toned down being one of them) this is not one of them. Atziri/Uber Atziri are no different than the old Heroic level raid bosses in WoW, and the upgraded loot that dropped from them. And in time Atziri and her uber version will be no different than when the heroic bosses/raids got the in-game buffs for the players to have more damage, healing, etc, etc. Just in this case it will come with more and more gear being available and more and more new skills and other things being made available. Atziri might get some mechanic changes down the line as well, but that is not guaranteed. So, why you're whining the way you are about this particular thing, I don't know. Content is there right now for the 'hardcore' and will eventually get to a point where lesser skilled/geared players can do it, so long as they put in a little effort to learn fight mechanics. If that's enough to get your undies/panties in a bunch...there's the door you're heading for, you are more than welcome to use it and never return. |

" uber is not at all similar to any raid from any MMO, ever. the main difference is that no MMO has ever had a raid system as poorly designed as the systems we have in place here. i have never heard of an MMO, ever, where you were forced to purchase raid tickets from other players that they got via random distribution, or somehow get lucky and randomly acquire a raid ticket never have i heard of such a primitive and illogical practice. in an MMO, players are offered content. the challenge is whether or not you can complete said content, not whether or not you are permitted to access it. Problem is that Christ stated part of the contect is DESIGNED to be available to hardocre players only. Above i think is wrong. The only times you can use hardcore is in a negative way. Hardcore no lifing. Hardcore 0xC0DEDBAD. Hardcore poor balance. Hardcore slot machine. Hardcore shiny MTX in a dark game. Nothing is difficult because everything is just a gearcheck from 70-95% resists. |
