I'm Unhappy I Put As Much Money As I Did In This Game
" Maybe the mod had a bad day x) casual isn't an insult after all. GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

" How about you don't insult anyone, per the Forum Guidelines? Enough about me, okay? Not my thread, not my concern. I thought the OP had figured things out throughout the course of this thread, and would likely request a lock by now. Fuck knows it's starting to smell a bit like something well past its shelf-life. Don't bother replying. Cheers. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

" 1) It seems you have forgotten about the Pandemonium Event in Diablo 2, which required you to obtain 3 keys in order to open a portal to Uber Tristram, where you fought some Uber bosses and a Pandemonium Diablo. Sounds surprisingly similar to PoE's Atziri event. 2) Content from nearly every 4 month league has been added into the core game, allowing you to continue to enjoy said content. Exiles, Nemesis mods, and Shrines (previous 4 month league mods) have been added to the core game. Both Strongboxes and Invasion Bosses have also been confirmed to be added to the core game as well. 3) You're upset that GGG spent money, contributed by more than just yourself, to develop an encounter that you may never fight. I see nothing wrong with this. If you were the only contributor, then I could understand you being upset. Fortunately, GGG has received contributions from numerous people, all of who enjoy different aspects of PoE, allowing GGG to develop a wide variety of content. I will most likely never fight Atziri, it's just not something that I want to strive for (same reason I don't raid in MMOs). Does that mean I'm going to stomp my feet and throw a tantrum, claiming that it is a misappropriation of my funding? Of course not. 4) I too am upset that I have put as much money into the game as I have. I would have liked to have contributed even more, but alas, my budget just won't allow that right now. That doesn't mean I think the game is perfect, FAR from it, but I do think the game is still very fun, and I think GGG has done a good job in expanding the game. PoE has come a long way in the last 3 years. |

" We clearly have different views of and feelings about the game 1) That's actually the reason that made me stop playing D2 2) You just want me to play in standard only ? More limitations hu ? No thanks 3) Of course I'm not the only contributor but seeing where also my money went made me regret it and of course made me stop. 4) In my opinion the game went the wrong direction; if it will turn in the direction i hope i'll be happy to start contributing again but till then i can't see why i should. |

" Spare us the drama, you were the one who antagonized me and then I've mentioned the size of your ego which got me instantly probated. And by the way, this is not about you, you're not the subject here, terrible moderation is. But I can see why you think it's about you. Practice what you preach. " 1) Fair enough, but why you'd stop playing the other 99% of the game because of 1% that doesn't fit your vision seems odd. I hate raiding in MMOs, but that doesn't prevent me from enjoying the games. 2) You can play on Softcore or Hardcore. I'm not seeing how these cause limitations, but if they do, then you can race and get even more game play options like Exile Everywhere, BLAMT, No-Proj, and even additional game modes like Descent: Champions and Endless Ledge. 3) Your money also went into Vaal Skills, new skills like Glacial Cascade and Molten Strike, Corrupted Areas, new unique items, Corrupted Areas and plenty of new bosses. It's too bad one optional boss has so much sway when there are so many other features that have been added to the game since 1.1.0. 4) Then my only suggestion would be to check back after 1.2.0 and see what major features get added. However, I doubt they'll be removing Atziri, so it seems you'll always be disappointed with that 1%. |

Not too sure if this is going to be read by GGG.... But here is my take on the game and the money we spend on it supporting it.
Let me start by saying I really and truly love the game, the mechanic and thought that has gone into the game is very/extremely impressive to me. The amount of variety is huge with all the different character one can create, it still amazes me. Made one or two rather good characters which I'm using to farm with, but more on that later. 1. I have also spent a darn lot of money on the Game $100 from Basic Point Packs and $50 and $280 on the Survivor Pack and Champion Pack. Which is a whooping amount in our currency. 2. Are the bigger packs really with it in the long run? I would say no. Why I say no is there is no real distinction that I'm a game supporter and the pack don't change when new content "Leagues" are been made available. I feel the Pack content should change every 4 months with the league changes as that would add a little more excitement into the pack value. Yes the point are great to spend and use within the mtx system, but would like to be distinct within the game. With a hey guys LOOK I'm a real game supporter, as the back pack attachments just don't do it. Oh and lets not forget the in game frame is really only if you do a lot of party runs, which I prefer to play alone or with my son and his friends. That said, when I come into town there should be a wow check that guy he supports the game and its development "which is what we do in the long run, and yes pay the bills as well" Which I'm quiet happy to do. I enjoy sometimes just standing in the towns and saying to myself, WOW check how that guy/girls looks, that or this feature looks so cool on them. 3. Yes I understand that farming and grinding is part of the game, but the nerf's "Item Quantity" and then the buff "item drop rate" of better uniques which isn't so apparent come into question. I believe the purpose of farming and grinding should be to improve your Characters so that you can progress to endgame and enjoy the new content and the most important aspect find better uniques and currency. I've been playing almost everyday for the past six or so months and hasn't quiet got to the content that I was hoping to, and that is been able to roll better gear and play higher and harder levels. Have found a couple of Exalts and one Divine but NO Exalted or mirrors. Yes I don't expect them to drop like flies but come on, how can we craft better gear otherwise? The drop rate of better currency needs to be looked at, never mind the drop rate of Fusing Orbs, they are a scars as chicken teeth, which a big part of the game I think. How can we link items if fusing orbs don't drop. I spend most of my time farming other currency just to make fusings then blow 200 or more with no joy of a 6 linked item. 4.Some of the MTX items are so over priced it just makes no sense at all, yes it might of take hours to develop and get working just right, but come on 550 to 1100 is huge and lowering the price might just generate more cash in hand for GGG. I believe the interest in these items is huge but unobtainable or the average Joe Soap. 5. Lets not mention the trading systems as at the mount it is been worked on and I am hoping for huge improvements with it and I hope it becomes more user friendly. As I think this would break the economy craziness at the moment for items on POE.XYZ for standard. One save currency only to be disappoint when you think you have enough to find that the price has jump another XX amount in value. 6. Please find a way to incorporate "league changes" or "unique" changes for Standard, rather than having to wait 4 months for the new leagues to port over. Some of us players only play standard and would like to see changes and challenges for us first as well. As we the bulk of players I would think. We also need a bit of excitement or things to look forward too when new leagues come out. I find the porting of the inventory a huge hassle as well and would sometimes just like a delete all content button to get ride of the stuff. Let me end by saying thanks to Chris and the awesome support team he has for a great and exciting game. Looking forward to the improvements and challenges on the way. To Die Is Not An Option, To Fight Until DIESync Is The Only Answer. ☺☻☺
Happy Hunting Exiles. |

" You know that some mods probate and censor "Aren't you sick of wasting money, you won't get the game you would like" Stuff will be censored which isn't even in any guidelines. Reality is:"Hello Support I donated $$$ to you X is giving me a negative forum experience probate him pr I won't spend a single cent anymore" " Yeah it's called Path of Exile. A result putting lazy MMORPG players into positions they are meant to be( and that's still a friendly version) " There is a huge difference there. 1/6 chance for each key and 100% organ drops vs find a stupid corrupted zone with a 24% chance to find dusk fragments 6% midnight. Only a complete ... would design some RMT fest like this. Same goes for Über Atziri Fragments. "We care about RMT..."(lie more if you would care you wouldn't design gargabe like that) And FYI Pandemonium Quest wasn't a gearcheck. There are videos of naked parties doing it or even something low as level 22-24 characters. It was designed to replace the Diablo Clone because that World event only had the intention to get rid of duped sojs. " Those are tiny changes several game mods had even in subpatches. PoE is only ripping of D2 and failing to design it properly. Exiles and Invaders are only Guestmonster Ripoff. Strongboxes an Evil Urn Ripoff. Shrines are a D2 Classic Ripoff. Atziri is a poor Pandemonium Ripoff. What next an even poorer Diablo Clone Ripoff? Farm more bosses to summon some boss? Wouldn't wonder if PoE will ripoff stupid MMORPGs soon, such a viewpoints or whatever the crap in GW was called. " You know that most people left PoE after a short time even they spend money? But some people return service and that doesn't work with a FF14 mentality. There are some eternal/diamond supporters giving their right to design an to somebody else because they got sick of PoE or got sick of how GGG designers force an unique upon them. And you can be certain if I had bought a service for creation of an unique I would have already made all steps to charge back and it wouldn't be econimical for GGG to go on lawsuit because 1k vs 3k+ costs, with a high chance that their claim will be denied. " Are you sure it's 1% because that means he had to mention at last 99 things which fit his vision. " Somebody disapproves with Droprates and Damagespikes as pseudodifficulty. Not being present in private leagues.... Check Mate. " Better suggestion it must stay for quiet some time at a point where you would like to see the game. Else you spend money and they continue to force their ideas upon you. " PoE is a tradebased game, it's no different than D3 in that aspect. Shitty Droprates and RMT. A craftbased game would be more successful and that was actually a thing that drew players to PoE and that's why most CB players feel betrayed with OB+. An exalted as Merveil Merciless reward. Currency Race rewards. Everybody got in touch with currency. A craftbased game would work because people wouldn't need to RMT. They can get currency quiet fast and trade item vs item, that's how trading worked in D2 Pre Lod. You traded a martel vs a similar lance. " The target audience for those MTX are addicted players or lonely players. A person with strict financial rules will never buy such MTX. " To inform you there is a lot of stuff which should have made it into OB already. They just dropped it to bottom priority with the main priority being to keep the game alive with MMORPG changes. The amount of players dropped to an extent they reduced the amount of servers so you can expect random instance/server crashes. I expected that during short races during peak hours being unplayable during peak hours. The amount of charity MTX was a calculated amount. You see some kind of desperation in those MTX sales because the Charity events already shown only around 20k active players in all time zones. " This isn't going to happen because the leagues are designed in a way to die over time. 2 Trashleagues and 2 Testleagues. CB had it too. But they were called Legacy (Legacy HC), Standard and HC. And the distribution was pretty much the same Standard>Legacy>HC>Legacy HC(Wasteland) But blame greedy publishers, MMORPGs and unproven game theories that it looks that way. |

" The person I was replying to specifically stated that it was Atziri that they disliked. To me, that is ~1% of the game. I'm sure they have more issues with the game than that though, as no game is perfect and everyone has their own views and ideas on how they would do things differently. I have plenty of things that I dislike about the game. I think there is way too much focus on trading*, there is too much focus on gambling and very little focus on crafting (vendor recipes), there is too much focus on AoE vs solid single target builds, they seem to be incapable to designing enemies around the shortcomings of their engine (fast moving enemies that tend to teleport around due to desync), and the game is fairly poorly balanced all around (though for as many skills as are in the game, and how anyone can pretty much use anything, it is better balanced than one would initially think). Still, I find the game to be quite fun, even with all of the shortcomings, and there are always new and interesting builds to try out (unfortunately 3/4 of them are locked behind uniques with horrible drop rates). Every now and then I will get fed up with PoE, usually due to hitting a gear wall on a character because nothing is dropping and I'm out of currency. When this happens I'll play Grim Dawn, Titan Quest Soulvizier, Torchlight 2 or any number of other non-ARPGs games. After a few weeks, I'll jump back into PoE and start up a new character. * My biggest issue with trading is that the devs talk about all this trading they did for Diablo 2, and how it influenced their design with PoE. I played D2 for 8-10 years and never once went online to trade with anyone, it never even crossed my mind. I did some co-op LAN games from time to time, but most of the time I just played solo. I had a ton of characters, all of which worked well as self found, and most of which completed Act 5 Hell. Yet in PoE, self-found is absolutely horrible, IMO. |
