Spent 130$ on this game. Prepurchased RoS yesterday. It really hurts since i really loved this game in the past.
Playing with friends beacame impossible since invasion and my friendslist is like 1/3 as long as when the league started.
If the game was like this when it was in OB i would probably not have spent any $ on it or sticked with it as long as i did.

Im sorry but if you play anything this much, you get bored.
Any game you get bored after a while.
Specially these days, we are spoilt with lots of opportunities, options.
I dont thin the game has became bad or anything. We played maybe too much? I still play it but there are other games i like to try as well.

It has nothing to do with playing a game for too long. WoW has lasted and is lasting for the past what; 10-11 years?
The thing is GGG relies on skinner's effects instead of providing a solid experience. Not to mention that De-sync made half of the skill builds useless.

With regards to the "most time to play" comment - Charan and I have talked about this personally and I wanted to mention it in this thread. We want to make sure there are content and items for people who play far more than the average player. Enemies like Atziri (and potentially other undocumented harder versions of her) require a whole lot of effort that will probably be out of reach for a portion of our playerbase. Those players can still find the content both enjoyable to watch on Twitch/YouTube and aspirational (inspiring them to build better and better characters to hopefully take it on themselves). We tried to make sure that there was lots of content in SotV that was available to all players, and based on the overwhelmingly positive feedback on the patch, I personally feel we succeeded.
You succeeded in driving me away with that most time to play idea.
What the *** is this? After spending a hundred hours farm for fragments, I still have to watch that on Twitch and you think I should *** enjoy it? Are you out of your *** mind?
I finally know why this patch seemed so encouraging RMT and bots, if that was where you get your idea.

As a SF player, I never cried for a SF league, but this expansion made me very mad.
At first I thought hiding Apex of Sacrifice behind RNG walls was merely a design flaw.
But after I noticed the spawn rates at CoS and Docks were reduced again and again to <= 0.1 one after the other. I know I am not one of your target audiences. In fact it was like you saying to my face: "Don't like trading? We don't welcome you, so fuck off!"
Fortunately I don't need you or gaming, either. I swore to leave and will never come back once I am done fighting Atziri to fulfill a promise to local community friends. How many more hours I don't know, but I will never give in to trade.
So I was right.
You won't have my gear. Last edited by NameIsDon#7467 on Mar 23, 2014, 11:46:04 AM

"watch it on youtube". lol
Still better comment than 'we will not implement weather effects switch and other usual graphics options becaue SCREENSHOTS WILL LOOK BAD'. Yes its actual Wilson response from reddit.
GREATEST DESIGNER EVAR!! YOU JUST DONT KNOW WHAT (RNG AND MINDLESS GIRND WITH ABSYMAL DROP RATES) IS FUN. ALSO OFC DESYNC THAT MAKES THIS GRINDING LESS ENYOJABLE THAN IN OTHER GAMES IS FOR EVEN MORE FUN!
I spend around 300usd in this game its 6-10 times more than i spend on usual AAA game. Tbh is mor that i spend yearly on games because im preety selective. From time perspective i regret every penny spended. Money wasted (from 'i support this' perspective).
Good thing - each Wilson's response (like this one above or the interwievs before SoTV with Athene for example) and each patch thats add more and more rmg bullshit and dont fix anything (including things that are broken since forever) justifies my decision about taking my money somewhere else.
I NEVER seen 'CEO' (besided maybe Kotick) and main developer (besides maybe Jay Wilson) that is so out of touch with playerbase and his own game. Also i never seen so bait and swith like here... from "plz give us money we so Diablo 2!" to "watch it on youtube and gtfo - we designed this for 5 streamers and RMT companies - midnigts fragments have 0,01% drop rate because we all have gambling issues and it costs only 10$ on RMT sites! enjoy!".
buahahahah...

I've also seen some pretty poor Slippery Slope excuses from the developers as to why they won't add options.
'If we add an option to scale down particle effects, where will it end?!?!? 50,000 options?!'

The fact that Chris mentions Charan like he is something special shows me just how out of touch he is.

No good, varied or fun loot drops.
Getting blocked by bad drops is certainly a problem if it happens before endgame. Even though we've been continually increasing the amount of drops (via strongboxes, Invasion bosses, rogue exiles, shrines, Vaal secret areas, etc.) there are still a few kinks in the progression curve, notably around mid-Cruel (as you astutely pointed out). We also did increase the chances to get 4L on gear, which is important at that stage of the game.
This is a very important answer to me.
GGG says that they are continuing to address this concern by increasing chances for more RANDOM drops.
You should improve random drops, not increase them. For example exclude low level items and mods.
On other words: More quality, not quantity!

MY experience in ambush is that they made it easier to acquire wealth for trading, yet actual drops for gearing up are the same. I have found alot of quality gems and orbs for trading no ex or eternals but low level ones,. Problem is I dont trade at all cant stand it wont bother with it.
To save the game they need to realize trading should be something people want to do not have to do.
