I'm Unhappy I Put As Much Money As I Did In This Game

I hope they dedicate more time to improving under-utilized skills and nodes and less time nerfing the things people enjoy.

This may sound trite to most but honestly the thing that bugs me the most is the amount of attention give to places like reddit from Chris and the dev team while the homepage and forums where a majority of major supporters go get less and sometimes no information.

Overall the communication from the dev's is better than most games I have played. I still think they are lacking focus on the community of these boards.

Not sure what your feedback is-- you start off going one direction then loop back and say the opposite. You don't have a problem with specific skills but GGG should spend more time balancing specific skills. You don't like how GGG communicates but GGG communicates well. Well... which is it? One thing that might help GGG is if the feedback they got had a clearer message.

My point is overall I am happy.
If they could improve things other than what was already stated they would be.

#1. Stop nerfing gear/skills/drops etc and improve under-utilized skills and builds instead
#2. Focus their communication on thier own boards more

I did end up sending Chris an email, we've been talking back and forth and he likes some of my ideas and is informing me on how certain things are set-up and why.

I too wish the money I had given was used for better design and direction of the game.

I've contributed quite a bit, and I'm not unhappy I've done so... but the rate things are going I'm not very likely to contribute a lot more.
I too have contributed a lot, even about 95$ shortly after 1.1, and I don't think I'll be making any more donations until there are some real changes to core problems. Desync, balance, reliance on spiky damage and rng to impose artificial difficulty and finally something needs to be done about linking to some degree.

I may even have to take a break until any kind of real progress is made. I've found it very difficult to keep motivated to play. I'm starting to feel like maybe GGG is not up to the task of making a quality game vs a game with a lot of poorly thought out content just stacked on top of each other to trick people into buying MTXs.

Anyway, I've had my fair share of fun hours with this game but I cannot pretend there aren't more bad than good anymore. Honestly the only thing that has kept me this long is the combination of hope the game will make real progress and a lack of a better alternative.

GGG has shown a lack of ability or willingness to make any real progress so I must make the pragmatic choice and move on.
Yeah, hundreds upon hundreds of orbs to get a 5-link on a 6-socket item = bad coding.
I also don't like trading much and wish there was an easier way to salvage rare/unique items.

You mean the vendor? Maybe you mean with a compensation commensurate to market rates or scarcity/power? Obviously the former is impossible because those values are always in flux, dependent on build meta and market saturation, among other things. The latter is essentially price fixing and would have all the associated consequences on the market as a whole.

What do you recommend, Aggnog?

Probably implying alteration shards aren't a good enough reward for selling uniques and rares.

The way it could work is
sell magic - 5-10 transmutation shards
sell rare - 1-2 alchemy shards
sell unique - 3 chance orbs, we can get five with the recipe but getting two orbs less without the hassle of hunting a matching rare should be a good tradeoff

... or something like that, this would need a tweak in trans-aug-alt ratio probably. The idea is selling an item enables you to roll more of them, which is kinda how component salvaging in other games works.

This is a bit contraversial, but we could use more flexible vendors, too, exchange rates when reversing trades suck and you probably don't want to bother finding someone to trade you a few low-tier orbs at a time. Most vendors owe you a favor anyway in this way or the other, they could at least freely exchange your cash, giving you 16 transmutation orbs for an alt or a regret for an alch.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

Pretty much what happened to me. I bought Divine Support and i wont waste more money until i see some good changes. And im not talking about new content, im talking about on improving the game, less desync less fps drops less bullshit bugs that never get fixed after years and years (warehouse wp 2 sec freeze, etc)
